Montalto Estate Publication 🍃

This was probably one of my favourite university projects I’ve done. We were tasked with creating a short publication based on a place we love & I chose ! I first went to their grounds & took loads of photos, which I then used in the design. I challenged myself to work in black & white as I usually prefer a colourful maximalist style and wanted to try something different. This is just a snippet of some pages in the publication & I hope you like it!

Dissertation 📖

Just a little snippet of a few pages from my dissertation for my final year at university that I got a first on, titled - The Role of Graphic Design On-Screen in the Fantasy Genre 🧝‍♂️

I’m a big movie fan and a big fantasy fan (books & on-screen) so it was only fitting that I wrote my dissertation on a topic I enjoy so much 😌

I looked at the history of art in the fantasy genre, maps, typography, heraldry, as well as several case studies including from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and more!

A year ago today was the launch of Gaynor Kane’s poetry book 8 Types of Love! I had the honour of both designing the book cover and photographing the event and it was such a lovely afternoon!

Motion Graphic - Cathedral 📽️

Make sure to have your sound on when watching 🎶

Continuing on with the Cathedral project (see last post), we had to create a motion graphic for the short story we were given (in my case ‘Cathedral’ by Raymond Carver) as if it was the opening sequence to a motion picture of the story. I really enjoyed editing this together & I hope you guys like it too! ☺️

Zine Covers - Cathedral 🎞️

As part of a university project I had to design 3 zine covers based on the short story ‘Cathedral’. I took the photos of the tapes during a photography workshop and enjoyed editing and manipulating the images during the design process. We also had to create a motion graphic for the story as if it was the intro to a motion picture of the story which I hope to post over the next couple days so keep an eye out for that, I really enjoyed making it 🙈

CASE Christmas Card 🎄

Apologies for the lack of posting lately, have had a lot of uni work to do which I hope to share some of soon!

This was a recent commission for an electronic Christmas card for CASE in the Education Authority to send through email, what a nice idea! 😊

This is my second year creating their digital Christmas card & I loved doing it! And once again I used my own photo .photography ☺️

Star Wars Modernism Posters 💫

Long time no see! Been so busy with University & also had a busy summer so apologies for not posting in a while!

I designed these posters for the same movie poster project as my Monsters Inc. one but I didn’t end up using it.

I decided to try a variety of colour palettes on the design, swipe to see the rest & let me know below which one is your favourite!

I’m hoping to reopen my Etsy shop soon, and am thinking about putting this design on there 😄
