A sad day for DW Sports members all over the country - and even more dismal for the many dedicated trainers and staff who encourage the rest of us. I fear DW won't be the last gym chain to fail under the pressure of the past four months.

Here's an idea for your Better Health campaign, . Nationalise the fitness chains and independent gyms that are falling into adminstration and offer us a couple of percent of the NI rate to incentivise regular attendance. I’m sure you’ll come up with a catchy name to promote them. National Health Clubs? Boris Bootcamps?
