What you don’t see is the camera operator balancing like an Olympic athlete, someone wrestling a giant light blocker in the wind, and an entire crew silently praying the clouds stay consistent for another five minutes.

Outdoor shoots are all about timing, teamwork and making quick decisions without anyone feeling the pressure.

Thankfully, our crew stayed completely koallected and kept everything moving smoothly. 🐨

What this looks like: a crew casually gathered round a printer.

What it actually is: six people debating millimetres, reflections and whether the paper tray is sitting slightly wonky on camera. 🐨

This is the glamorous side of production nobody talks about. Tiny adjustments. Endless tweaking. Everyone suddenly becoming emotionally invested in office equipment.

Still, when the final film comes together, all that detail is what makes it feel effortless.

Not every shoot involves explosions, car chases or dramatic slow motion walks.
Sometimes it’s five printers, a dark studio and a crew trying to make office tech look like the hero shot in a blockbuster. 🐨

Lighting, angles and tiny details suddenly become everything. Because even the most practical products deserve their main character moment.

Properly koalafied production means giving the same level of craft to a printer shoot as you would to a car commercial.

A social reveal campaign built around atmosphere, timing and detail.

From the typewriter-inspired motion graphics to the carefully controlled sound design and bespoke music cues, every element was designed to feel unmistakably Taskmaster. The challenge was not just announcing a series, but recreating the tension, absurdity and drama the audience already associates with the brand.

A great reminder that the strongest social campaigns are rarely just visuals alone. Sound, pacing and brand consistency are what make content instantly recognisable and impossible to scroll past. Properly koalified from concept to final reveal.

Need a campaign that feels as distinctive as the brand behind it? Koala can help create it.

Trying to direct one dog on set is a challenge.

Trying to direct this many while keeping camera, continuity and clients happy? That deserves a treat jar the size of a lighting case.

This shoot was equal parts production and organised pet management. Marks being ignored. Treats being negotiated. At least one dog deciding the lens was more interesting than the script.

Still, our crew stayed koalafied under pressure and somehow turned chaos into a working shoot day. 🐨

Stop motion days always look strangely calm in photos.

In reality? It’s hundreds of tiny adjustments, endless patience and an entire crew celebrating because something moved two millimetres exactly as planned. 🐨

For this shoot, every frame mattered. Lighting, positioning, timing, repeat. The kind of detail most people never notice… unless it’s wrong.

That’s the magic of production though. Making painstaking work feel effortless on screen.

Most people see the final 30 seconds. They don’t see the freezing night shoots, kit piled into viaduct arches, radios going off every five minutes and someone checking battery levels like their life depends on it.

This is the bit we love though. The organised chaos. The problem-solving. The crew quietly making impossible timelines feel normal.

Production isn’t just about getting the shot. It’s about keeping everything moving when the pressure’s highest.

checking playback like a man who’s just spotted one pixel out of place. Meanwhile the rest of the crew are crowding round the monitor pretending they definitely understand the camera settings. 😉 Behind every smooth shoot is a lot of organised chaos, quick fixes and someone saying “just one more take” at least 14 times. That’s the way. Calm under pressure. Slightly over-caffeinated behind the scenes.

A brilliant behind-the-scenes look at the making of JCB’s Pothole Pro promo.

From early planning through to final production, this was a seriously enjoyable shoot to bring to life. Big kit, big ambition and a great team to make it happen. We loved working on this one with JCB.

Huge credit to who shot and edited the piece.

Creative production, properly koalified.
