As I come towards the end of the first year of building , I’ve found myself reflecting on just how much can happen within 12 months of running a business independently.
Although STUDIO: ARC is approaching the end of its first year, the skills and experience behind the business have been built over many years through professional communications work, creative development, strategic thinking, and hands-on digital projects across a range of industries.
This year has allowed me to bring those experiences together into a business focused on creating thoughtful, premium digital experiences through website design, branding, digital strategy, and online presence development.
Alongside the creative and technical side of the work, one of the biggest areas of growth has been learning more about people — how different businesses operate, how different communication styles affect projects, and how to build strong working relationships across a wide range of personalities, industries, and ways of thinking.
Running a business independently teaches you very quickly that good work is only one part of the process. Clarity, communication, adaptability, structure, and trust all matter just as much.
Over the past year, I’ve worked on a broad range of projects which have continued to strengthen my belief that businesses benefit enormously from investing in strong digital foundations and premium, well-considered branding. A business’s online presence shapes perception long before a conversation ever takes place.
At its core, STUDIO: ARC was built around a simple idea: creating thoughtful, premium digital experiences whilst working closely with ambitious businesses, organisations, and founders to help shape how their ideas are presented to the world.
One of the most rewarding parts of the past year has been the opportunity to build something independently whilst collaborating across such a varied range of people, industries, and projects.
I’m proud of what has been built so far, grateful to the clients and organisations who have trusted me with their projects, and excited to continue developing STUDIO: ARC further over the coming years.
