I was recently asked to design a new logo and crest-style emblem for a local motorbike chapter.

The brief was to create something that felt strong, symbolic, and rooted in tradition, while also working well on apparel such as hoodies and patches.

The concept draws on elements of classical guardianship and brotherhood. The Roman helmet and laurel wreath reference protection and honour, while the shield structure represents unity and strength.

Motorcycle elements were incorporated subtly to reflect the chapter’s riding culture, and the Latin phrase “Adsum Semper Paratus” translates to “I am present, always ready.”

The aim was to produce a chapter crest with a sense of heritage, combining typography, illustration, and texture to create a bold identity piece.

Projects like this are always enjoyable because they allow you to explore storytelling through design, turning values and symbolism into a visual identity.

Exciting News!

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that we met with the incredible team from Sam’s Superheroes Charity Sam's Superheroes — an organisation dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and supporting families affected by FIRES (Febrile Infection Related Epilepsy Syndrome) and NORSE (New Onset Refractory Status Epilepticus), two rare and catastrophic seizure disorders.

They have kindly offered to work alongside us to help raise awareness for our book, Thunderstorm Inside My Head, which was created to help children and families express and understand what living with epilepsy and seizures can feel like.

This collaboration means so much to us — together, we hope to shine a brighter light on these devastating but often misunderstood conditions, along side Epilepsy in general and to bring comfort, understanding and hope to the families who face them every day.

I’d love to share something I’ve been working on — my new board game Alice’s Wondrous Adventures. 🎲✨

It’s a maths-based adventure game designed to support Key Stage 2 learners, helping children practise:

✔️ Addition & subtraction
✔️ Number bonds
✔️ Mental arithmetic
✔️ Strategic thinking

The best part? Kids don’t feel like they’re “doing maths” — they’re playing, laughing, and building confidence along the way. 🐇🕰️

I originally created this game to help children who found traditional maths tricky, but it’s become a real hit with families, educators, and even schools who want a fun, screen-free learning resource.
