Back to 2017 where my journey into starting my own business began

I sat in a lot of these rooms, saw and heard a lot of other people becoming successful

Whilst I wasn’t

It’s so deflating isn’t it? Wanting something desperately but it just not taking off!

I made a lot of mistakes…

I didn’t believe in myself
I had a lot of money blocks
I kept asking people to support my business
I gave away too much
I tried to appeal to everyone
I had no clue who my audience were, what my brand really was, nor did I feel truly connected to what I was offering

Worst of all, I was desperate to succeed!

None of the above, will ever lead to a path of success.

My failures navigated me down a path of massive learning, I was desperate to understand why some people succeed, even against the odds.

I attended many more trainings, read many books, took many courses on mindset work and marketing.

An opportunity then came along where I was able to put this into practise in an employed role! I loved it! I was good at it!

But…still the desire to create something of my own and help others nagged at me.

I’m so grateful and excited to now be in a position to share all my experiences, knowledge and tools with you.

I’ve been there, I’ve failed, but now I know why, and how that can be overcome.

I can’t wait to share that with you, and cheer you on as you learn and overcome your own obstacles to success 💗

Tuesdays top tip….NO ONE LIKES BEING SOLD TOO!!

And here’s the reason why👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

Sales began life unregulated and able to make a wild array of unfounded claims!

And when selling this way became more regulated, the solution was to get pushy 😑

No wonder no one likes being sold too!

Your clients and customers are smart, looking to trust, respect them.

Your interactions should be mutually beneficial, you provide a service that meets their need.

See yourself as a problem solver!

Then learn the best way to authentically find and show your prospect that you or your product the best solution for what their need is.

That’s what a good marketeer does! 💗

This is your business, your thing, and you get to make it whatever you wish and have the clients and customers YOU want.

I have worked with some amazing people recently, and they are the clients I have intentionally chosen to come into my business.

When you understand how, you can do this too!

Hi...a bit about me…🙂

My career background has been…varied! I’ve always been driven but had struggled for a while to find ‘my purpose’.

I have always worked with people, and one thing I’ve always known and has been threaded throughout my career, is my joy for seeing people realise their full potential.

It can be tempting to play safe, not push yourself out of your comfort zone and I know there’s been times when I’ve done just that.

I’ve been interested in the idea of having my own business for a few years now, I’ve had a try, but often ended up gravitating back towards the safety of a salary before fully committing.

I hadn’t done the work I needed yet, I didn’t really know what I needed to know or how to go about it successfully.

A passion for all things personal development, marketing, branding and how we as humans connect with each other and also ourselves, led me into a dream job. I coordinated marketing and events and the role also encompassed recruitment, staff well-being and much more!

However, I still had the desire to create something of my own, where I could work the hours that suited me and the life I wanted to live. My colleagues were amazing, but my role was stressful, overwhelming and my personal life was suffering.

Most of all it didn’t allow me to fully do what I knew I'd been put here to do, to help others succeed, to believe in themselves and live a life they dreamed of!

Taking a huge leap of faith, I left my job, my colleagues that were like my family, the safety of a good salary. I knew it was time to fulfil my own potential so I could help others do the same.

The skills I have learnt over the years from my own journey with mindset work, marketing, branding, is what lead me to create Grass Roots Marketing Consultancy.

My aim is to support others who have a dream to create something for themselves, who are unsure where to start, or struggling to be seen or connect with their audience.

You might be a new business, or an existing business that maybe feels it’s just not taking off like you’d hoped.

My purpose is to be your own personal cheerleader, to share my knowledge so you have the tools and clarity about what you can offer, what your brand is, and how to reach your ideal clients. To empower you to feel equipped, confident, and believe in what you can achieve!
