WHAT A YEAR it’s been for Love Leeds Road 💗

When we started this campaign, we wanted to shine a light on the businesses and people that make Leeds Road what it is, and there have been SO many amazing stories along the way!

We’ve featured 60+ businesses, engaged with 120+ businesses, and met some genuinely brilliant people behind the shopfronts.

And that’s what I’ve loved most about this campaign. Getting to know the people. Hearing their stories. Finding out how they started, what keeps them going and just how much passion goes into the businesses we walk past every day.

A massive thank you to every business that welcomed us in, got in front of the camera (even when we had to convince you 😂), shared their story and supported the campaign.

And thank you to everyone who watched, liked, shared, commented or discovered somewhere new because of Love Leeds Road. ❤️

There’s so much more to Leeds Road than you might realise.

Great businesses. Great people. One amazing community.

There’s a lot to love about the smaller family grocers on Leeds Road, and Mahad Foods is a great example.

Mahad started working with his dad when he was just 13 and has grown up knowing the business inside out.

The shop is packed with South Asian produce, spices, fresh fruit and veg, seasonal mangoes and traditional kulfi. There’s also a busy halal meat counter serving their regular customers.

And when you’ve spent that many years behind the counter, you meet a few characters along the way. Apparently that includes a man who casually walked in with a slushie in his pocket 😂

Mahad now has plans to grow the business across Bradford, but it all started right here on Leeds Road.

💍 We recently visited Bride2B by ZS on Leeds Road to meet the team and learn more about their beautiful bridal boutique.

Founded by two sisters with a shared passion for helping brides, their dream was to create a place where every bride could find the perfect dress and enjoy a truly memorable experience.

It was so lovely to hear about their journey from Westgate to Leeds Road and why they chose to make the move. Their passion for helping every bride find a dress that reflects her unique style really shows in the dresses they make.

And the dresses? Absolutely stunning. 🤍 From timeless elegance to contemporary designs, there’s something really special about the collection.

Love Leeds Road x Jewels by Imaan

Some shops leave an impression the moment you walk through the door and Jewels by Imaan is definitely one of them.

As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by a showroom that glistened from every angle. It wasn’t just the sparkle that caught our attention; it was the stories behind every piece.

The team shared how jewellery isn’t simply an accessory. It carries memories, marks life’s biggest milestones, and becomes part of a family’s story for generations. That really stayed with us.

From breathtaking bridal sets and intricate Polki designs to handcrafted Meenakari pieces, every collection reflects incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail. Even more special was watching Rukhsana and her team guide customers with such warmth and expertise, helping them find jewellery that felt just right for their big day.

It’s businesses like these that make Leeds Road so special. Family run, passionate, and dedicated to creating special experiences.

❤️ LOVE LEEDS ROAD | REGGIES

This week, we’re shining a light on Reggies.

Owned by three brothers born and raised on Leeds Road, they’ve built a loyal following by keeping things simple. Fresh food, a carefully chosen menu and no shortcuts.

Everything is made fresh every day. Their chips are cut fresh with the skin left on, and once it’s gone… it’s gone.

After closing their doors for a while, customers kept asking when they were coming back. The support was overwhelming, so they reopened in a bigger unit just opposite their original shop.

Safe to say, they’re back… and people are travelling from all over to get their Reggie’s fix.

We popped in for a sneak peek before they reopen tomorrow, and they’ve had a complete makeover! Fresh new branding, a brand new fit out, and it looks great.
