A year ago, ranking #1 meant you got the click. Now, half the time, Google answers the question itself in an AI Overview, and the customer never lands on a search page.

A year ago, ranking #1 meant you got the click. Now, half the time, Google answers the question itself in an AI Overview and the customer never lands on a search page.

The businesses Google cites inside those AI answers are the ones with detailed Google Business Profiles, current photos, fresh reviews, and content per location; not templated pages.

Here's the bit most agencies aren't saying. Each of your locations now has to earn its own citation. Your Brighton showroom and your Hove showroom compete as two different businesses. Corporate brand authority isn't lifting them both anymore.

Not by copying what the big national brands are doing. Their machine is built for scale, not nuance. They don't know your area, your competitors, or the local Facebook group where half your referrals come from.

That's your advantage.

Regional leadership isn't about spending the most. It's about being the obvious choice. When someone in your area thinks "I need a kitchen" or "I need a dentist", your name has to come up first. In their head. In Google. In ChatGPT. In the group chat.
