Most solar installers think they have a leads problem.

They don't.

They have a follow-up problem.

Here's what I see every time:

➡️ 60–80 enquiries sitting in a CRM or inbox
➡️Half of them never got a second contact
➡️A third of those would have booked with one more touchpoint

The leads were there.
The interest was there.

What wasn't there was a system to stay in the conversation long enough.

Buying more leads doesn't fix this.
It just creates more enquiries that go nowhere.

The installers closing consistently aren't generating more leads than you.
They're just making sure every lead gets a proper chance.

If your pipeline feels inconsistent, this is usually why.

How many follow-ups does it actually take to close a solar install?

Most solar installs don’t close on the first call.

And they rarely close on the second.

Solar is a £7k–£15k decision.

That’s not impulse buying.

There’s usually:

A finance discussion

A partner involved

Other quotes being compared

Timing questions

It normally takes multiple touchpoints before someone commits.

But many reps stop at two.

Call once.

Send the quote.

Maybe one more follow-up.

Then move on.

Not because they’re lazy.

Because they’re busy.

And new enquiries feel more urgent.

I’ve seen people come back out of nowhere months later.

After going completely quiet.

When follow-up is planned properly, things are not missed.

Not aggressive chasing.

Just consistent contact.

Checking in.

Answering questions.

Staying visible.

Most give up too early.

How many follow-ups do you actually do?
