Fanatic welcomes our new SEO Specialist, Ben 👋

Ben brings a wealth of experience to the team, having worked in both agency and freelance SEO roles. What stood out to him about Fanatic was the close-knit, collaborative feel of the studio — especially paired against the calibre of enterprise-grade clients on our books. It's a combination that made the opportunity to do some top-tier work impossible to pass up.

Fun fact: Ben writes poetry in his spare time, which he shares on his own Substack.

The whole team came together for an afternoon of good food and good company. The BBQ was on full swing with burgers, sausages, salad and plenty of snacks to go round, while the afternoon split into a football match and a game of rounders, with everyone getting stuck in!

For our latest team social, some of our team headed to Mudworks in Bristol for a masterclass on pottery making. 🏺

After a quick lesson on the wheel, everyone got stuck into throwing their own piece from scratch. It turns out centring clay is a lot trickier than it looks (and a lot messier)! But, with some patient guidance, we slowly got the hang of shaping our pots.

Now we are waiting for our pots to be fired and glazed and can't wait to see the finished results!

Last week, some of the team took on Pen y Fan, which is the highest peak in South Wales!

Recently, some of our team headed to Ruby Hue chocolate makers in Bristol after work for a chocolate-making social. 🍫

We kicked things off with a delicious cacao fruit daiquiri before getting stuck into the chocolate-making process. We then enjoyed a guided tasting, featuring a range of different chocolates. Needless to say, this was a big highlight of the experience for us!

We finished the evening by decorating our own chocolate bars to take home. Toppings included pistachio, chilli flakes, puffed corn, and more. Yum! 😋

The project is a refresh of their existing site, with a focus on improving the user journey for booking event spaces.

Some of the things we're most excited about include custom page formats for each venue space, an interactive room-finder wizard, and an evolved brand identity, with contemporary architectural illustrations and an updated colour palette meeting digital accessibility standards.
