Week 2 - mid week mind reset
I see myself as a lucky person. I have amazing friends in this business. This week I met with two that I see as my Adobe Sisters. and

We met to chat about a couple of challenges we wanted some feedback on. When it go to me, I was excited to share I’d started to reach out to brands. I’d added them to my “the scary list”. But I was challenged, and quite rightly.

Why do you call it the scary list?
Well, for years I’ve not really had to reach out to many brands or companies, I was comfortable doing what I do. But this scared me. The fear of rejection.

But what if you call it something more positive and motivating?
Ok… here it is. No longer called “the scary list”, it’s now My Future Clients list.

Picked a niche — creative software and tech, not beauty or fitness. Looked at how other creators present their work, then built my portfolio on my own site so brands can actually find it in search.

50 years old. No UGC Portfolio. Starting anyway. Follow to watch it happen in real time.
I’ve been feeling that my channel isn’t doing great. So I started asking myself. Why do I follow and like other creators. The answer. I felt like I was following them on a journey. Trying to figure things out. This gave me a purpose and reason to follow along.
So. After running an idea past my YouTube coach. I’ve decided and landed on the idea of sharing a journey. And that’s to see if I can become a UGC creator.
I’ve no portfolio, no clue where to start, but I’m recording it anyway. However it goes. Down to sharing success or failure. 1-2 updates a week with things added to my story.
A sense of purpose. A reason to do this. A why! Not just another tutorial.
