Slightly controversial, but it’s not always the algorithm!!

I often see within the online space, people blaming the algorithm for A LOT of things.

Poor engagement? The algorithm.
Losing followers? The algorithm.
No audience growth? The algorithm.
Little views? The algorithm.

And yes, you’re right! The algorithm can play a role however no one actually even knows what that is and it’s impossible to keep up with.

There are so many contributing factors other than the algorithm like social causes, seasons, events, people losing interest and of course times are constantly changing!

I’m sure you know by now that things can change rapidly on social media so you’re constantly having to keep up!

My advice would be to liaise with your audience, find out what they want to see but make sure it aligns with you too, provide your audience with value, try to use content pillars, check your insights to see what’s performing well and most importantly don’t get stressed about it, it shouldn’t need to matter too much!

Also check out for all the official Instagram updates - the only person who I trust!! Not everything you hear about the algorithm is true! 🥰

✨Accepting help is cool, try not to forgot that✨

Let’s break the stigma around accepting help because there are A LOT of misconceptions, especially on the online world.

Accepting help does NOT mean:
👉 You have failed
👉 You’re losing control
👉 You’re not good enough
👉 You’re not working hard enough
👉 You’re spending too little time on your business
👉 You’re neglecting or letting go of your business

Instead it means:
👉Your business is growing
👉 You’re smashing those goals
👉 You’re working really hard
👉 You are taking care of yourself
👉 You’re thinking of the long term + the future
👉 You are human !

PLUS, I see it as a pretty cool move, we are in it for the long term✌️

Ever wondered why you’re losing followers?

(Just to clarify, I’m a firm believer in followers don’t equate to anything and they certainly do not measure success, it’s purely a number!)

But if you’re wanting to grow your account then read below 👇

First of all, try not to take it personally! There are multiple reasons why and half the time it’s not even you! Bots and fake accounts are a huge industry on Instagram, so when you see unfollows it’s most likely those fake accounts that Instagram having to remove. Take this as a positive as those bots hinder your engagement.

However some of those unfollows could be down to you and your content....

👉Being inconsistent. People are following you to see your content and your brand, if you’re not posting or showing up, of course people will unfollow you as they will assume you don’t exist!

👉Posting invaluable content. Your audience want to see valuable content, something that’s gripping or interesting! They will know when you’re posting just for the sake of it, it’s pointless and won’t get you anywhere!

👉 You’re not engaging. You want to build and maintain relationships with your audience, it works both ways so if they’re not receiving it back then they will potentially unfollow.
