Sometimes a really special project comes along.

Toot-ally Awesome Clarinet was one of those.

We loved collaborating with author Maggie Gray and her daughter Caroline Scott to design the covers for their new beginner clarinet tutor books.

Maggie is a professional clarinettist and musical director with experience across television, radio and London’s West End theatre orchestras. She is also a member of the Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain. The design needed to reflect that credibility while still feeling bold, modern and inspiring for beginners.

At Brandiful®, we do not start with decoration. We start with positioning. Who is this for? How should it feel? What makes it stand out on a crowded shelf?

That thinking shaped two vibrant, confident covers designed to spark curiosity from the very first glance.

Available now on Amazon.

If you are launching something new and want design rooted in clarity and strategy, we would love to help.

There is a story behind every business. It's our goal at Brandiful to make that story visual and memorable. A business starts with an idea, a dream or the discovery of a solution to a problem.

People buy with emotion and justify with logic. Bring emotion into your company's story or a design and this will certainly help make an impact with your customers.

Do your visuals tell the story behind your business?

Hello… What is this?!

Would an ad like this be acceptable today?

This is the infamous Wonderbra campaign from 1994.

At the time everyone from the Financial Times to the Sun discussed the merits. A lot has changed since then. What are your thoughts?

Did you know that people buy with emotion and justify with logic?

We applied this concept when designing these catalogue covers for HBS Group. They are a large supplier of educational and hygiene products. HBS Group is a family run company which has been in business since 1973. We have worked with them for over 5 years now.

The characters create an emotional connection between the customer and the products. Which helps boost engagement and loyalty. HBS now use the characters over much of their marketing creating a warm and memorable connection with the customer.

How do you use emotion in your visual marketing material?

'Even villains need a board room'…

Well this was some of the feedback I got when I created this official scene for Marvel Fact Files. This is the lair for the infamous baddy M.O.D.O.K.

As a designer I had to fully use my problem solving skills here. The villain required a lot of power for his evil deeds.

1. A nuclear power core. Great for the energy crisis today. Perhaps M.O.D.O.K. can let us borrow it.

2. A board room. To discuss world domination plans in secrecy.

3. Prisoner cells. Well I am sure you all have someone you would like to put in one of those!

Creativity and imagination can solve some of the most challenging problems. Can I help you with anything today?

You are such a 'USER'!

But… this is a good thing.

Usually when someone is called a 'user' it is meant negatively but in the design world we are all users and the user is central. If we don't understand or listen to the user, how can we make positive changes, make their lives better and get results for them?

At Brandiful Design we spend important time listening and understanding the needs of the user of each design project. This helps produce a solution that aims to get them where they want to be faster.
