We all know it, the internet is full of w*nkers.

Why? Because its EASY.

It's easy to pull someone down, It's easy to laugh when someone is trying something new, It's easy to take the make fun of someone

But don't do it, everyone is here to connect, share, and learn from one other.

And remember, behind every profile is a real person with feelings, just like you. YES even, big corporate accounts.

Before you post, ask yourself: Is it kind? Is it necessary? Is it true? Your words have power, use them wisely.

Don't be a cause of someone's hurt, get out there and uplift and inspire one another.

What do they have in common?

Honestly, not a lot really. Just that I spend a lot of my time thinking about both.

Actually, no, this is a lesson about clickbait!

Now, ''clickbait' has become a synonym for 'bad' nowadays so was somewhat rebranded to the term "Hook" which is essentially the same wolf but a slightly cleaner and more modern sheep's clothing.

As annoying and frustrating as it is, these things are remarkably effective.

They draw you in with a sensational or curious headline and get eyes on your content which to draw engagement.

By leveraging the principles of this phenomenon, you can draw audiences into content that holds genuine value, sparking discussions and creating connections.

HOWEVER! it's crucial to strike a balance between clickbait and delivering good substantive content to maintain trust and respect for your audience's time.

Given how cluttered the online landscape is nowadays, clickbait can serve as a gateway to helping you stand out and create meaningful engagement, as long as it's backed by substance and authenticity.

Change is coming for EU users of TikTok!

As part of the EU's Digital Services Act, EU users of TikTok will be able to switch OFF the recommendation setting aka 'For You'.

This means that the content being shown will no longer be based on your scrolling/watching habits, rather just what is most popular.

This may seem counterproductive for some, but SMEs and Business owners have a great opportunity to see and understand what is popular outside of their normal circle of influence.

I'm wondering what other SMM/Marketers think of this. Because I think this could be a GAME changer for freelancers.

Feeling a bit nostalgic today so thought it might be nice to show the evolution of our logos from TF Social, to NiceTime Social.

The original logo was designed to be bright, colourful and eye catching, you'll notice the ever-present circle is also featured as our original subtitle/strapline was 'bring us into your social circle'.

When we introduced NiceTime, the colours and typeface were somewhat inspired by old leatherbound books, complete with gilded lettering.

We eventually decided on the modern logo, this featured a typeface/font which was designed to be as close to the Facebook and Twitter one, whilst maintaining our own identity, and highlighting what we do with a golden yellow.

We love watching our designs evolve over time but have worked so hard to define our visual identity.

What do you all think? Are there any changes we could make?
