It's great to see LinkedIn taking steps to tackle the flood of low-quality AI-generated content through their new "AI slop" reporting tool.

Now imagine if Meta followed suit... Wouldn't it be refreshing if our Facebook feeds were filled with genuine stories, real conversations and original ideas, instead of poorly written AI posts, generic graphics and content that's been copied and pasted a hundred times over?

AI is a brilliant tool when it's used to support creativity and expertise. But it should never replace authenticity.

Well... the sun turned up, the crowds turned up, and thankfully so did Conquest! 😎☀️ Saturday saw the return of Camberley's Summer Party, bringing together local businesses, charities, traders and leisure venues for a brilliant day of family fun. It's always great to see the town buzzing and people out enjoying everything our community has to offer.

A big thank you to Camberley & District Club 1903 for letting us gate-crash... sorry, share their stand for the day!

Community events like this don't happen by accident, so a big well done to Love Camberley & all the volunteers who helped make the day such a success.

We wanted to take a moment to recognise this man, Richard Mundy. For 29 years, Richard operated and ran Lovely Cards in Camberley. quite possibly, one of the town's hardest-working businessmen, he opened his card and gift shop seven days a week, year after year.

Last week, those doors closed for the final time, allowing Richard to retire, many years after the so-called 'traditional' retirement age. Think about what that span of time represents. Three decades that brought recessions, a global pandemic, and a seismic shift in the way people send cards and mark life's occasions. Through all of it, Richard showed up.

But Lovely Cards was never just a shop. It was a community hub. Customers of all ages would pop in, not always to buy something, but for a chat, a stamp, or simply a familiar face. That's rare. That kind of business isn't just retail, it's the fabric of a town.
