Confessions of an embroidery and Printing business owner …

I inspect garments everywhere I go 👀

Casually shopping? Nope. I’m clocking logo placement, Stitch alignment, stitch density, thread tension… and yes, the print quality and finish.

While you’re walking down the street looking into shop windows, or pretty flowers, I’m looking at the hoodie or t-shirt design on the person walking infront of me!

Most people just see a person, I see a full-blown quality audit of my profession!

Please tell me I’m not the only one doing undercover field research in the wild… 😅

Customers ask me all the time….. Can you put this picture on a T-shirt? And I say yes every time without looking at the image in my software.

I’ve been doing this Artwork Prep as a standard for years…… and for free 😊

My time is valuable and I’m now in a position where I have to start putting a small charge on for my time, for things like this, which are taking up more and more of my time, so this £3 charge will hopefully be an affordable price and will now be applied to your order if needed

We are going to attempt to be in the shop between 1:30pm and 3pm today

We will unfortunately be closed again today and hope to be back with limited hours tomorrow.

I will update in the morning what those hours will be

For explanation I have been suffering with L5/S1 spinal disc bulge for over 15 months and the condition is now deteriorating fast. It is pinching the Nerve Root, but not quite touching the spinal cord, which is now making even sitting and standing excruciatingly painful.
I have been referred to surgeons and CMATS to find the fastest way to get some relief.

Yesterday I was unable to get out of bed, get dressed and walk without help, the doctors have helped with stronger pain relief but I need another day before heading back into work on limited duties

Having woken up in terrible pain at 4am I will be unfortunately closed today as I’m now unable to walk /stand and crawling around the shop is not a good look

We will unfortunately have to close at 12 tomorrow.

I know this is not ideal but it is for a important reason.

Our old 19 year old Toffee cat has dementia and is suffering, confused and scared most of the time not knowing where she is, we also have our Lovely 12 year old Paris who has taken a turn for the worse over the Easter period and so it’s our job to know when it’s time to help them cross over to the Rainbow bridge. We will be spending time with them tomorrow and sitting with them so they are not scared or alone 😥

There might be some adjustments still to do, I might not have everything exactly how I want it to begin with which will come and it is still a working progress as we continue to grow and bring in more samples/stock and I might need to close early sometimes for appointments and I do have to have a tiny operation but Tomorrow is re-opening day in our new Shop.

It’s not an official launch party and there will be no Prosecco or Cake, it’s just back to doing what we love to do and seeing all our wonderful customers again but with a little more room, some chilled music and a mirror!!!!!!

To start, We will be opening 10-5pm Tuesday to Friday and 10-2 on Saturdays throughout the summer months

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be reopening on Good Friday (3rd April) — starting a brand new chapter for Sacco’s.

It’s been a pleasure being on North Road, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming you to our new space at 33 Pendre, where we’ll have the room we need.

📍 You’ll find us between K27 and The Depot

We’re currently working hard behind the scenes to get everything set up. It’s taking a little longer than planned, but we’re doing our best to get there safely (and without causing ourselves more injury 😅).

Thank you for your patience with any outstanding orders, collections and calls as we transition into our new space this coming week.

We’re currently navigating an unusually high workload alongside moving our machines, even with this weekend’s weather conditions. We are taking extra care with some ongoing back issues also. As a result, things may be moving a little slower than planned — but every detail is being handled with intention.

We promise it will be worth the wait.

While we’re not announcing an opening date just yet, we are continuing to work on orders behind the scenes and ensuring everything in our new space is exactly as it should be before we welcome you in.
