These medals are ready and waiting 🏅

They’ll be handed over properly once we’ve had time to pause, reflect and come back together. Because what we did deserves more than a quick moment at the finish.

Made by Carlisle Trophies, with the face courtesy of Carlisle Glass, with the brand design from Dan McAulay of Twenty Twenty Studio. A proper local effort.

So far, we’ve raised over £15,000 including Gift Aid, which still feels incredible to say out loud. Fundraising remains open if you’d like to support Sarcoma UK.

It’s officially two months since I made the jump to start Twenty Twenty Studio, and blimey… it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

I’ve been learning the whole time, how to back myself, how to embrace optimism, and that strategy really does work when you put it into practice.

I’ve spent the past weeks surrounded by some really brilliant people who have helped bring ideas to life. And there’s been an overwhelming amount of support from people, old and new. From launching new ideas to simply leaving a like on a post, it’s all your help that has helped make all this real!

Since we last spoke I've:
- Turned 31 in Belfast with my amazing fiancée ♥️
- Planned out the next steps in my business through the ON iT course with Thomas Jardine & Co
- Had my very own professional photoshoot with the fab Katherine McMorran Photography
- Finalised two new brand identities for businesses in Cumbria 🎨
- Wrote four 20+ page marketing strategies 🤯
- Secured six new lovely retainer clients
- Wrote two of my monthly columns for Cumbria Crack
- Spent exactly £0 on advertising!

But it hasn’t all been plain sailing:
- I put loads of effort into an exciting campaign that has had to be shelved for now
- Being my own worst boss putting a load of pressure on 🫠
- Went from a '9-5' working pattern to a more '24-7' working pattern 😬
- The diet… let’s not even get started on that (sorry MAN v FAT)

I’m so excited for the next steps, coming soon (Listing them here so I’m accountable!)
- Exciting collaborations with local writers, photographers, marketers, AI gurus and clever business advisers
- Launch the full Twenty Twenty brand
- Collaborate with Oscar of Retro Symmetry on a really cool campaign with his illustration skills (thanks to Vincent and University of Cumbria for the link up!)
- Dream about a studio space in 2026, that isn’t just my spare room.
- And last and most excitingly, take on an actual person. Watch this space!

It’s early days, but I’m so proud of how it’s started, and so thankful for the dozens of people that have had my back (you know who you are!) 😁

This month I quit my day job to go full-time self-employed 🫣

I’ve spent years helping other people with their marketing, branding and strategy - now I’m finally building a proper brand of my own!
