Back to one of our frequent favourites the_sally_irthington ❤️

We kicked things off with a pork & apple scotch egg 🤤 and the lamb shawarma, both packed with flavour!

For mains, we had the classic steak burger 🍔 (a proper classic!), although next time we might swap the fries for chips because the fries are great but the Sally chips are out of this world 😍

And the Tuscan Chicken, an absolute showstopper 💥 Garlic & herb roasted chicken in a creamy Tuscan sauce with sunblush tomatoes, spinach, white wine, parmesan & oregano. It was unbelievably tasty 🤌🏻

Delicious food, lovely staff and that relaxed, welcoming atmosphere every time 🙌

They’re award-winning for a reason 🏆

A recent visit to The Crown & Thistle Rockcliffe proved exactly why they took home Pub of the Year at the Cumbria Food Awards 👏

We kicked things off with the rich venison croquette and meaty king prawns. As soon as we spotted the duo of Cumbrian lamb on the specials, it was an easy decision 🤤

And because we clearly hadn't had enough red meat, the tasting of Cumbrian beef, three beef three ways served with all the trimmings 🔥

Dessert didn’t disappoint either: Nana June’s ginger sponge (comes with custard and ice cream 😍) and a rich, gooey chocolate fondant to finish.

The team are always so welcoming, and once again it was a perfect visit from start to finish ✨

A very unique location for delicious lunch at

A beautiful day called for a trip into the Lakes and a visit to a place that's been on our list for a long time! ☀️🌿

The cafe is based in a replica steam train so we were expecting very quaint and all about the setting, but honestly we were blown away by the food 🤯 it was incredible and the coffee was perfectly made too 👌

We went for the Nduja Brunch Bowl 🌶️🍳 packed with spicy nduja, crispy potatoes, fried eggs, avocado and a kick of siracha 🤤

And the Hot Pastrami Sandwich 🥪🔥 slow-cooked homemade pastrami, melted provolone, caramelised onions & Keswick ketchup… served with chunky chips, salad and slaw, unreal.

We walked off our lunch at Sale Fell, a near by Wainwright. It made for a pretty awesome day!

A great night at 🍔✨

Burgers were on offer (2 for £25) so it would’ve rude not too! We both tucked straight in 👌🏻

We started double cheesy 🧀 with a dreamy soufflé and a baked camembert 🤤 then finished strong with the classics… a rich brownie with Thunder & Lightning ⚡️ and a gooey sticky toffee pudding 🍮

They also host a highly contested quiz night one Thursday each month 🧠🏆 — definitely one to keep your eyes peeled for!

Sunshine, good food and supporting an animal charity, a perfect combo ☀️🐾

Stopped by Café and it’s an absolute gem 💚 Indoor + outdoor seating, a contained outdoor play area for the kids, a shop to browse, and of course plenty of adorable animal residents. It's dog-friendly, so no one gets left out 🐶

Lunch was spot on too: a tuna toastie, a bean & cheese jacket potato, and a cafetière of local favourite coffee to share ☕️

If you’re an animal lover, this place is basically heaven, eat cake, drink coffee, help animals 🐕🐈 it's a win for me!

Leading with the dessert because that crumble topping was perfect 👌🏻

Visited for a cosy pub meal, my apple crumble really stole the show! For main I had the chicken ballotine, juicy chicken wrapped round Cumberland sausage filling 🤩

We also had the Cumberland sausage and chocolate fudge cake, proper reliable yummy dishes!

It was a lovely pub in stunning surroundings and the staff were really friendly 😊

Glorious afternoon spent at followed by a delicious lunch in . We ordered the cod goujon sandwich and the chicken teriyaki nourish bowl.

is a stylish and modern space on Rosehill serving a range of delicious dishes. They have everything from a full English to yogurt bowls, pizzas to salads and some grab and go options too 🤩

I remember going for birthday meals at the Andalusian when I was growing up, it's been a Carlisle mainstay got a very long time, and for good reason!

Their lasagne is a must try 🤤 but I'm yet to find something on the menu I don't love ♥️
