What do you want???

What do you want out of work, this varies from business to business.

One thing I have found is not everyone wants to be a millionaire, a lot of my clients just want to be comfortable, know that there is a constant steady flow of work all year long.

They dont want to be working to 8-9 o'clock every night, they want to spend time with their partners and kids on an evening.

They want 2-4 family holidays a year and they want to know they are financially stable.

Thats not all our clients, we have guys who want to put in the hard graft now, start early and finish late, they want to build something that's going to be passed on to their kids in the future or have a business that someone will one day want to buy so they can retire comfortably and enjoy what they have worked for.

Just curious what people's thoughts are on this.

I don’t believe you can build a proper business on your own.

I see this all the time with tradesmen.

They’re trying to do everything themselves.

Quoting, fitting, answering the phone, chasing leads.

And then wondering why they’re stuck.

At some point, you’ve got to realise

you’re the bottleneck.

The businesses that grow are the ones

who build a team of people better than them at certain things.

That’s how you scale.

I might not be what people expect as a marketing agency owner, I might not be well spoken and a lot of people might not understand my geordie accent, but I have got experience, not just in marketing but in doing actually hands on work in the trade/home improvements industry.

It’s the market.

Its the war.

People aren’t spending.

Things have slowed down.

But that’s not what’s actually happening.

Homeowners haven’t stopped buying.

They’ve just started asking better questions.

How does this save me money?
Is this worth it long term?
Should I do this now or wait?

And if your marketing doesn’t answer those questions

You lose them before you even speak to them.

We have to do it,

Nearly 150 potential new customers in 30 days,
39 of them coming in the last 7 days, its no wonder hes flat out.

This is one of my shutter clients, he isnt a 1 man band, he has a team of fitters and admin staff to call and follow up the leads and he is still having to turn the tap off.

Facebook ads are s**t.
The quality is s**t.
It's full of time wasters.

My client has 25 appointments booked in by early next week.

A few reasons why Facebook ads haven't worked for you in the past.

1. You did them.

2. You didn't spend enough money on them.

3. You hired an agency who was cheaper and you got what you paid for - s**t.

So yes, Facebook ads are s**t if not done correctly.
Same as if i tried to build a wall or install shutters.

I wouldn't know what im doing, but I wouldn't blame the bricks or the shutters, I would hire someone who knows their s**t and get it done professionally.

No one gives a s**t...

Its true, no one gives a s**t about your business, if you went under tomorrow all people would say is "ah that's a shame, I used to see their vans a lot".

But the truth is if it went under, you would only have yourself to blame, this might sound harsh but if your not putting systems and strategies in place to make sure your pipeline is full, your just standing still.

And thinking this year things will pick up is just delusional, it's just a different year same s**t story.

Everything is digital now whether you like it or not and setting goals and targets for growth is essential if you want to survive.

We can help you hit them goals, we have already had 6 people sign up so far this year who don't want to tell themselves the same bulls**t story that this year will be different.
