"But what would I actually give to a VA?” I hear this quite a lot.

The answer is usually... more than you think!

It's not just emails and diary management.

If you need to complete your 2025/26 Self Assessment tax return, HMRC is running a series of FREE live webinars to help you through the process.

The sessions cover:
· Starting your online tax return
· Employment income
· Self-employment
· UK property
· Other income and tax reliefs
· Finishing your return
· Understanding your tax calculation and payments

There’s also the opportunity to ask questions during the live sessions.

Don't leave it until January. Getting your return organised early can give you greater peace of mind and more time to plan and budget for any tax you may owe.

It's National Dog Day, so of course I had to dedicate a post to Mavis. 💕

Anyone who knows me will know just how much Nellie, and now Mavis, meant and mean to me.

After losing Nellie, I wasn’t sure I was ready for another dog. Then along came Mavis… and somehow she managed to completely steal our hearts again. ❤️

She's so much fun, has a very different personality to Nellie, and causes a fair amount of chaos.

I can say that going for walks, meeting new people and discovering new places, are all things that probably wouldn't happen as often without Mavis next to me.

And then there’s agility! 🐾🏃‍♀️ Mavis absolutely loves it (well that's what I tell myself), and watching her learn, improve (when she hasn't got the zoomies) and enjoy herself has become something we do together.

You get use to the muddy paws, the wet dog, the barking and the occasionally shouting "now what do you have in your mouth?" moments!

Mavis will be getting some extra treats, plenty of cuddles and probably a few too many photos taken of her! 📸🐾

Happy National Dog Day to all the wonderful dogs out there ❤️

A few days late posting… but definitely worth celebrating! 🥂

What started as a leap of faith has grown into 8 years of supporting business owners, entrepreneurs and busy professionals with the behind-the-scenes support they need to keep things moving.
