Can I just say something that might sting a little bit? 😂

Most PMU artists are not creating content for their clients.

They're creating it for other PMU artists....

You spend hours editing a reel, decide one brow looks slightly higher than the other, convince yourself everyone's going to notice and then just... don't post it.

Or you post something really polished and get loads of lovely comments from other artists and barely an enquiry in sight.

Other PMU artists are not your clients.

They are not going to pay your bills and they are not who you need to be thinking about when you're deciding what to post.

Your actual clients? They want to see the before and afters. They want to see your work so they can look at it and think yes, that is what I want my brows to look like.

No but genuinely who designed that thing 😭 the first time we opened Ads Manager we're pretty sure we aged five years!

If looking at it makes you want to immediately close the laptop and pretend the whole thing never happened you are not alone and you are also not the problem.

It's just a lot and it shouldn't have to be your job to figure it out when your actual job is doing incredible PMU work.

Someone asked me how I book £10-14k worth of PMU a month so I am telling you everything! 😅

£1k on ads, an AI chatbot booking consults into my diary while I'm literally tattooing, 70-100 phone consults a month and yes, I do work basically all the time not going to lie to you there.

But I'm not doing £10-14k because I've got tens of thousands of followers or some secret gift.

I'm doing it because the system does the heavy lifting. The leads come in, the chatbot handles them, the consults get booked and I show up and close them. Rinse and repeat 💸

Is it a lot of work? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes, clearly 😂

I promise I wasn’t born with a brow machine in my hand.

I was an estate agent. Yes, really, keys, viewings, awkward small talk and all 😂

It was a solid career, I learned a lot, I met some amazing people, but it was never the thing that lit me up, and deep down I knew I didn’t want to spend my life building someone else’s version of success when I hadn’t even tried to build my own.

So I trained in permanent makeup, did it alongside my full-time job at the beginning, evenings, weekends, squeezing clients in wherever I could and every single penny I made went straight back into marketing and advertising.

Over two years I built a fully booked clinic, won an award, made some of my closest friends in this industry and proved to myself that you don’t need ten years to make it work, you need the right decisions and the right systems.

What I kept noticing though, again and again, was that most permanent makeup artists are struggling because no one has shown them how to build the engine behind the talent.
