A beautiful day with stunning scenery. The first 7miles were walking along the river to the estuary and felt pretty easy.
Completed in just over two hours.
We then stopped for lunch thinking we’d finish pretty early. How wrong we were as then came the climb into the hills, next to one of Snowdonia’s tallest mountains. The summit brought spectacular views of a beautiful lake, we carried on through fields of sheep on a rocky trail. Up, down, up, down. On top of the world, but beginning to flag.
The sun came out which made the trek harder. The last mile was descending on a road. It felt good to be on steady ground, but my legs were wobbly.
A great walk for a great cause , brilliantly organised.
We’ve raised nearly £1500 as a team, and I’m soooo close to my £1000 target!
Proud of my boy .enzo who ran part of the climb carrying my backpack too! 🥰
