Buddy and the Gremlin are finally finished 🎨

A lot of sanding, filling, priming and painting has gone into these over the last while, but really happy with how they’ve both turned out in the end. Definitely learned a lot along the way trying different techniques and pushing myself more with the finishing side of things.

Honestly just excited for Christmas now so I can get these out in the garden as decorations 🎄

Now that I’ve actually finished them in plenty of time… I’m thinking Gizmo might need to join the Gremlin 👀

Buddy update – all sanding and filling done, last coat of primer on. One final pass with ultra-fine sandpaper and he’s ready for paint 🎨

Busy behind the scenes at Cre8Tiv3D at the moment…

Just finished up a new Mandalorian & Grogu coin bank design — a proper throwback to the old trick banks but with a working 3D printed mechanism. Mando stands watch while Grogu drops the coin into the barrel when the latch is pressed 🪙

With May the 4th coming up, it felt like the right time to get this one finished.

Still at it with Buddy as well — sanding, filling and priming. One more coat and he’ll be ready for paint.

All the while I’m still working through customer orders, which are honestly pushing me to improve and try new things. Every job seems to come with something new to figure out, and it’s definitely helping grow the skill set.

Finally finished a big one… 💥

I’ve designed and printed my own modular desktop tool chest. My old setup just wasn’t cutting it, so I built something that actually works the way I need it to.

The whole system is made up of 3 main parts, and each one can be used on its own or connected together to build a full setup:

🧰 Part 1 – Storage Chest
Comes in a few different versions:
• Tool/pen holder top
• Single shelf
• Empty cupboard
• 3 shelf version
Also has 2 door styles – handle or full bar, and can open either way.

🧰 Part 2 – Large Drawer Chest
• 6 drawers total (mix of slim & deep)
• Top recessed tray for storing bits
• Space to add your own logo

🧰 Part 3 – Small Drawer Chest
• 12 drawers (8 slim, 4 deep)
• Magnetic lid
• Inside the lid is split into small sections – perfect for keeping track of screws when stripping something down

Everything is modular, so you can expand it however you want. You can secure sections with magnets or printed connectors, and the feet can be glued or screwed on.

This has been a big build and pushed my printers right to their limits, but well worth it.

Little workshop update 🖨️

The Elf and Gremlin builds are coming along nicely. With the weather finally warming up a bit I managed to get the first coat of primer on, so now it’s back to the usual seam filling, sanding and another round of primer before they’re ready for paint.

Also had a few interesting prints go out recently:
• Ozzy Osbourne figure
• Motorcycle rear fender
• A house sign saying “Toodaloo Mudaf**kaaa” 😅

On the design side, I’ve also been working on my own modular desktop tool chest. My old one just wasn’t cutting it anymore, so I decided to design something properly that keeps all my tools in one place. The idea is that it’s modular, so extra sections can be added if needed.

The design is finished and the printers are currently busy making parts. It’s a big build and pretty much pushing the build volume of my printers to the limit. About a week of printing left and it should all be ready.

New design just finished 💥

I’ve made a display stand for the new McDonald’s Friends characters – inspired by the iconic fountain scene from the show. Had to give them the proper setup instead of just standing on a shelf 😅

It prints in 3 parts:
✔ Main fountain body
✔ Water inserts (drop straight in)
✔ Friends sign (just needs a small drop of glue to hold it in place)

Nice clean print and makes the figures look spot on once assembled.
