📦 NEW DESIGN ALERT! 🖨️

Been working on something new for Cre8Tiv3D! 😁

I’ve designed and printed my own stackable storage totes! Perfect for keeping all those little bits and pieces organised, whether it’s tools, spare parts or anything else you need to store away.

Each box comes in 3 parts: 🔹 A sturdy base 🔹 A lid 🔹 2 locking handles that pivot and snap into place to keep everything secure.

And the best bit? They can be printed in ANY colour you fancy! 🌈

📏 Original dimensions:

* Length: 160mm
* Width: 120mm
* Height: 100mm

They can also be scaled in the slicer from 50% up to 150%, depending on your printer’s build plate size.

And with the stackable design, you can make as many as you need and keep them neatly organised!

What colours would you go for? 👀

🎄 It’s been a little while since I’ve posted, so here’s a wee Cre8Tiv3D update! 🎄

Christmas is getting closer, which means there’s not long to go until the Elf and Gremlin finally make their first appearance decorating the garden! 😁🎅👹 After all the printing, sanding, filling and painting, I’m really looking forward to getting them out there!

I’ve also been keeping the printers busy with a few other projects. I’ve recently printed a Gizmo to go along with the Gremlin, and I’ve also been working on a Dark Helmet from Spaceballs, ready for the release of Spaceballs 2 next year! 🚀😂

And something completely different… I’ve been having a bit of fun printing some Japanese puzzle boxes designed by 222pzzls on MakerWorld. These things are seriously clever, with puzzles ranging from just 3 moves to open all the way up to some that take over 4,000 moves! 🤯🧩

Plenty going on behind the scenes, even when I’m not posting! 😁

One of the things I love about 3D printing is how it can improve everyday items.

With the solar eclipse coming up on 12th August, I picked up some certified cardboard eclipse glasses. They’re perfectly good as they are, but I came across a clever 3D printable design that allows the certified eclipse lenses to be transferred into a much sturdier frame.

It’s a great example of how 3D printing isn’t just about making toys or decorations—it’s about creating practical solutions and giving everyday products a new lease of life.

Now all that’s left is to hope Scotland gives us a break from the clouds on eclipse day! 🌞🌑🤞

Remember: it’s the certified eclipse lenses that make them safe for viewing the Sun—the 3D printed frame is simply a stronger holder for those lenses.

🐿️🍔 Introducing the McNuts Squirrel House! 🍔🐿️

I finally finished one of my favourite projects yet – a McNuts-themed squirrel house! 😄

Designed with both fun and practicality in mind, it’s printed in PETG to help it stand up to the British weather. ☀️🌧️

✨ Features include:
🐿️ Multiple entry and exit holes.
🥜 An internal table to hold a tasty selection of nuts.
💧 Two recessed sections on the roof that can be filled with nuts or water, giving squirrels somewhere to grab a snack and a drink.
🔧 Two mounting options – it can be secured to a square fence post or screwed directly to a fence or tree using the top and bottom fixing points.

Now all that’s left is to wait for some furry customers to move in! 🐿️❤️

Buddy and the Gremlin are finally finished 🎨

A lot of sanding, filling, priming and painting has gone into these over the last while, but really happy with how they’ve both turned out in the end. Definitely learned a lot along the way trying different techniques and pushing myself more with the finishing side of things.

Honestly just excited for Christmas now so I can get these out in the garden as decorations 🎄

Now that I’ve actually finished them in plenty of time… I’m thinking Gizmo might need to join the Gremlin 👀

Buddy update – all sanding and filling done, last coat of primer on. One final pass with ultra-fine sandpaper and he’s ready for paint 🎨
