💡 Why does embroidery cost more when you supply your own garments?
It’s a question we get asked a lot!
When we supply garments, we’ve already checked that they’re suitable for embroidery and know exactly how they’ll perform during production. When customers provide their own items, there are a few extra factors involved:
🧵 Additional setup and handling – Every garment needs to be checked to ensure it’s suitable for embroidery and correctly prepared before stitching.
🧵 Greater risk – Unlike garments we supply, we can’t replace customer-owned items if there is a manufacturing fault, hidden defect, or issue with the fabric during the embroidery process.
🧵 More time-consuming – Different brands, materials, and garment styles often require adjustments to stabilisers, hooping methods, and machine settings to achieve the best possible finish.
🧵 No bulk garment savings – When we supply garments, we can often benefit from trade pricing, helping to keep overall costs competitive.
We always take great care with every item we embroider, whether supplied by us or by you. Our goal is to ensure you receive a professional, high-quality finish that lasts.
If you’re unsure whether it’s more cost-effective to supply your own garments or have us provide them, feel free to get in touch for advice and a quote!
