How many installations do you see in an ice rink? We’ve done plenty but this one was fun.
A new ‘wall of fame’ for Glasgow Clan which needed updated as Dyson Stevenson was being inducted.
A tricky install which threw up a few obstacles:
- middle pillar meant the full frame had to be built out 173mm (very precise… obviously.)
- The wall being installed to is a fire wall so ratings had to be correct and no wood for the build out
- Using a cherry picker on the ice for a prolonged period
- No coffee machine close by!!!
The CRE-8-IVE team tackled this by fabricating a welded aluminum ladder frame for the build out which got us past the pillar then meaning no raise in the fire rating along with fire spewing all fixings used.
Another great project to work on with Gerry McLaughlin who likes to put us through our paces, quite often 😀
