Thank you UWS Paisley Campus for picking my video 🎉
Unfortunately, it's down, due to having issues with trolls and AI haters 😅👎 People who don't understand that even with AI, a bad idea, is still a bad idea. Or aware of the hours of work, time and creativity that goes into making something like this. Yes, AI tools are utilised. But without my idea, my characters, my lyrics and stories. There's just an intelligent database waiting to be told what to do 💁♂️ If you're one of these folks, please read on....
The MSc Digital Marketing students were challenged to create a song and video (with A.I) that represents their time at UWS leading up to Christmas. **along with a bunch of assessments due 🤣**
For this challenge, I already had some videos generated, as I was planning on telling a similar story anyway. Few adjustments, 1000+ word prompts to get it right, hours editing/cutting all the 8-second-clips together on video editing software. Not to mention the 100s of videos that weren't right and scraped. While managing only 3, 8-second-clip generations per day...
When I started writing the song. I tried to prompt AI with ideas and phrases to create it. But not much of it was any use. I actually enjoy writing songs, poetry and spoken word. So I took little bits of ideas from here and there and changed them up, wrote a lot of my own lyrics and created the music with another AI model. After a final edit of the video, to match up with the music and lyrics, I added some branding at the end...
This was the result! 👌
When people notice AI is used. Their first thought is always "fraud". Instead of looking at the bigger picture. With my wee ideas, company mascot, stories and lyrics, I've managed to create a cohesive piece of work that 5-10 years ago would have cost £1000s to have created by professional animators, £1000s to hire a band and studio space to record the song. Then £1000s for a video editor to put it all together. And would never have been possible. What a time to be alive! What a time to MAKE AN IMPACT!!!!
