Fully booked and re-thinking her business model so she can take on more clients? 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻🫱🏼‍🫲🏻🫱🏼‍🫲🏻🫱🏼‍🫲🏻

Clare, like so many of my clients, came to me with a successful business but a DREAD for social media marketing. She didn’t want to do it, didn’t want to think about it & as a result she just didn’t do it (unless being forced to 🤣)

We looked through her feed and everything was just filler, nothing made sense, she was just posting to tick a box on her to-do list & she was lacking a real strategy.. SO COMMON, btw

We jumped straight in, took full control, built a strategy based on the things she could happily talk about every day, she committed to monthly content shoots so we always had enough content and her diary filled up, fast 🚀

I totally understand that for most of you, like Clare, social media is the second job you didn’t want, or at very least the second job you didn’t sign up for and yet it takes up SO much of your time & if you let it, it’ll steal the joy from your actual job, the actual business you started 🫠

And just an FYI - I love social media marketing & I’m fu***ng mint at it 🫦 (Clare’s words, not mine 😉)

“For once, I’m feeling pretty proud of myself.”

I received that message last night & I read it three times (at least 🤭)

Because 10 weeks earlier, Dawn had joined The Constellations knowing she needed to refine her offer and her marketing.. but what she didn’t realise yet was that the thing actually holding her back wasn’t her strategy or content..

It was that her business didn’t fully sound like her yet!! (So f*cking common, btw!)

She was doing what most women do. Toning it down. Polishing it into something she thought people would take seriously. Trying to be professional enough, visible enough, credible enough. On

And then she started the work inside the Constellations.. the identity work, the positioning work, the authority work and by week 6 she already didn’t want the container to end 🌌

And this week she messaged me, two things had happened:

👽 A couple had left her a review so long and so specific it made her cry.
👽 And a new inquiry call had just told her: “We chose you because we liked your vibe. You looked fun and friendly in your photos.”

That’s not an algorithm win. That’s not a viral reel. That’s what happens when a woman stops performing her business and starts actually inhabiting it 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻 that’s the real win 🚀

If you take anything from this, let it be understanding that people don’t buy from the most polished person in the room, they buy from the person they identify themselves with 🎟️

Sometimes you really can’t see the woods for the trees 👀

You can spend so much time trying to fix your positioning, your pricing, your content WITHOUT even considering the problem is in fact that you still subconsciously see yourself as small, replaceable & just another biz owner.. 🤭

I know you’ve been told to post more, be a bit more consistent and engage before you post - but let’s be honest, that’s not really going to solve your problems 🤭 and it’s not that simple..

I mean, it is pretty simple actually, you’ve just been told to do the wrong things 🫠

Fix your positioning, your authority, your pricing, your brand, your sales psychology AND THEN MOVE ONTO FIXING YOUR CONTENT - because posting more content before you’ve fixed the foundations is just silly & you’re not a silly goose 🪿

At some point your “high standards” stop being standards and start being avoidance 👀 because the idea that everything needs to be perfect before you show up, actually becomes the thing that’s stopping you from showing up 🙃
