I've recently retained my Chartered Marketer status with the CIM - The Chartered Institute of Marketing. I don't usually shout about qualifications, but this one matters. It recognises continued commitment to professional development and keeping skills up to date.

Marketing in 2026 looks different to even two years ago. AI, algorithm changes, shifting search behaviour, the industry doesn't stand still. Staying current isn't optional, it's essential.

For me, it's a commitment to making sure the work I do for clients reflects current best practice, not old assumptions. Learning doesn't stop.

I'm grateful to CIM for maintaining high standards in the profession and for the reminder that experience means nothing without continuous learning.

Be honest when did you last update your website?

If the answer is “a few years ago”… but you’re posting on social media every day, that’s likely the issue.

We see this all the time:
Social media is working.

It’s driving people to your website.

But when they land, they find:
• A slow site (especially on mobile)
• Outdated content
• No clear explanation of what you do
• Forms that don’t work

So they leave.

It's end of February. Easter's in early April. Feels too late, right?

Wrong. You've got 5 weeks. That's plenty of time.

What doesn't work:
Panic in mid-March and grab generic Easter graphics.

What does work:
Use these 5 weeks strategically. Build a campaign that's thought through, not rushed.

End of February isn't too late, it's actually ideal timing.
