Dream come true!

I was so honoured when Sunderland Empire got in touch and asked me to create a cake for their press and gala night.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is currently at Sunderland Empire as part of its world tour, and the production team asked me to recreate the iconic windmill as a cake.

Being a Cake King cake, it had to be BIG — and this is officially the biggest cake I've ever made! Complete with working lights and even a spinning windmill, this one was definitely a challenge.

From start to finish, it took 31 hours to decorate, but seeing it all come together made every minute worth it.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for trusting me with such a special project!

And to everyone who has sent lovely comments and messages.

We are going to see the show on Monday and we can't wait to see it ❤️🙌🏻

In case you're all wondering where I've gone... don't panic!

I've literally had the busiest week ever making the biggest 3D cake I've ever made. I can't wait to show you all the videos and pictures.

Plus, on Tuesday I had one of my brainwaves and randomly decided to get take that tickets for the same night 🤣

Finally back on track and answering all messages today.

I never get to see the cakes at parties 😱

But today that changed! I love seeing everyone's reactions to the cakes, after spending hours working on them.

After this week's cakes were delivered, we went for a weekend break which included, testing out cafe's and some of their reviews (including a one star review)

When should you order your birthday cake from cake king?

It's never been so important to reserve your dates at Cake King.

Las month we had over 300k views on Facebook and we're already on track to beat that this month. We had over 100k visitors to the page and of course this means more enquiries and more bookings.

My best advice is to book your space as soon as you know the date you need the cake for.

The diary is changing daily and I do require a 50% deposit to secure your space in the diary. Unfortunately no deposit means no booking in the diary.

At Cake King, all of my cakes are made from scratch which is why I have a minimum spend.

Before any decoration starts, I take my time to ensure that each cake tastes amazing. From soft, light and fluffy sponge cakes to my own smooth vanilla buttercream. Everything is made with perfection!
