I was amused to find this at St James’ Church in Sheffield on Saturday... I can only imagine the head in hands moment back in 1734... beautiful serif though :)

It's 'pamper a Taurean' day (I think) and this gang of little guys are setting out for their new homes today.

"Pleasure is a necessity for Taureans and they feel most content when pampered, relaxing in serene, bucolic environments..."

If you know a discontented Taurean, this may be the perfect gift for them. I think it's nearly their birthday too!

Newness has arrived and is live on both and I'm super proud of my new graduation print for the class of 2022. I hope they're something a bit different and worthy of celebrating the long awaited return of actual in person graduation ceremonies this year.

Not only are they brand new designs but these prints are debuting my brand new frames, made locally from sustainable and recyclable materials!

My Mum is an art making, morris dancing, violin playing one. She loves adventures in her camper van, (even if they're no further than her driveway) and playing folk music in pubs where permitted. She is always busy and claims to have never been bored. She doesn't really believe in Mother's day but will humour me if I give her a ring that day.

Despite my Mum not really playing ball with Mother's day here's some thing's I've made to celebrate Mums and their excellence :) Nestled amongst them you'll find pics of my Mum with her own Mum, Lucy, outside Buckingham Palace, with me (Mum is in red kagoul with tankard) and being the willing adult where I failed (holding a cute cockroach) for my daughter. Hooray for Mums in every capacity they exist.

These lovely things hang about all over Todmorden 'the kindness town' this one smiled at me from the carpark of Morrison's supermarket. Originally put here in response to a rise in hate crimes across the country in 2016, right now, nationally and locally, they feel more needed than ever.

With organisations like The Basement Project, The Real Junk Food Project and among many others, Todmorden puts kindness at the heart of it's community, and so, the community gives kindness back.

I guess these big projects start from smaller ways of thinking and being though, that we can all engage with wherever we are... a smile for a stranger, a kind note to a friend, a favour for a neighbour. What you give is what you get isn't it, and if that is kindness, then I guess we all win!

This week, I've mainly been working on 'newness' (a real industry term (for things that are new!)) so there has been much more focussed pondering going on than usual. Here's a couple of snapshots of my desktop. This is my favourite time of year creatively, there is more time and a real need to do the design and product development part of my business that I love the most. So I sit, research and design guilt free!

Some of my newness is already live on , you can search for Handmade By If on NOTHS to find my storefront there. It will be arriving on before too long as well. Some is still in development and will be coming in the next month or so...

Getting these two wick candles live ready for Valentine’s Day was a big mind bend but eventually a learning curve for me last year. I knew you guys would love the concept though so it was all worth it, and most of all I learned to trust my instincts and to be prepared!

This year I have a total of 14 candles in my shop, and plenty more at the ideas stage and being worked up! I now have a choice of fragrances, gift bags and a host of little single wick candles too.

Here's a little look at some of my new designs as well as the original and best 'you & me valentines candle'. My favourite for this year is the cheeky little bubble lettered Palentines candle, made especially for Palentines day (13th Feb) a day where we can celebrate friends and friendship :)
