Happy Hockey-Stick Monday! 📈

I’d usually hold off a bit longer before posting a client result, but when that long-awaited organic traffic hockey stick appears, it deserves a mention. 👀

Over the last six months, we worked on several areas for this site:

- Cleaned up the backlink profile through our Backlink Audit service.
- Completed a full site audit that uncovered several technical SEO issues, including a plugin that had been breaking recipe schema for more than a year.
- Pruned thin, off-topic, and outdated content through our Content Audit service.

Business update | Q1 2026

Q1 absolutely flew by.

We onboarded three new clients, trained up a new full-time link builder, and started putting more proper systems in place behind the scenes. There is still a fair bit that is manual at the moment, so this is a big focus for us this year.

I also wanted to share some early results from one of our newer clients.

After our discovery call, we looked at their goals for the site, recommended a backlink audit to clean up the toxic links in their profile, and they took care of that in-house with help from one of my YouTube tutorials. From there, we started building authority in a more focused way.

It is usually a bit early for me to look at traffic this soon, but I could not resist. The early signs are very encouraging, with organic traffic up 42% month on month and keyword rankings improving across the board. 📈

When a well-optimised site with great content and a strong founder meets targeted authority building, good things happen.

Looking forward to seeing where this site is in six months.
