Data Privacy Day isn’t just for big corporations, it matters for every small business with a website.

If you collect:
📄 Contact form enquiries
📄 Newsletter sign-ups
📄 Cookies & analytics data
📄 Maintain a CRM or client database
…then you’re responsible for how that data is handled.

A clear Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and good GDPR practices don’t just protect your business, they build trust with your customers.

Thinking of building your own website? Great! But please don’t skip these basics:

👉 Correct headings : use semantic structure.
👉 Add a favicon (that little icon in the browser tab).
👉 Make it accessible: colours, fonts and aria labels matter.
👉 Optimise images: webp or avif keeps loading times down.
👉 And of course, make sure it’s responsive on all devices.

Get these right, and your DIY site will look a lot more pro.
