Delighted to have been Highly Commended at the with Kingston Chamber of Commerce last night. Congratulations to all the business finalists who attended — and of course to all the winners. It was a brilliant evening and a real reminder of the strength of the local business community. Thanks to Forbes Low and his team.

It also felt like a full-circle moment, having taken part in the AI Accelerator at Kingston University, led by the brilliant Dr. Evy Sakellariou SFHEA, FIKE, FCIM, which played a part in sharpening my focus in this space. Especially as AI has only been a focus for me for the past six months.
In this time, I’ve:
- Completed 6 specialist courses covering AI strategy, implementation, policy and ethics
- Built practical AI tools and apps to help businesses reduce time, cost and resource
- Enjoyed vibe coding and created over 5 sites for customers
- Trained 50+ business owners in hands-on AI — leaving with things they can actually implement
- Got my own website showing up in generative AI search (not just Google)
- Developed a clear blueprint to help businesses get found in tools like ChatGPT and other AI platforms
- Written multiple white papers on AI, small business adoption, and human–AI collaboration
- Been a keynote speaker at an International Womens AI Accelarator 3 day event

Everyone is talking about AI right now… but a lot of business owners keep asking me the same question:

“What are you actually doing with AI?”

So here’s the honest answer.

I’ve spent the past 18 months learning, testing and building with AI — and I absolutely love it.

Not because it’s trendy.

But because it can save business owners huge amounts of time.

I’ve been building practical tools that help businesses work smarter, including:

• AI business audit tools that show where companies are missing opportunities online
• research tools that gather competitor and market insights quickly
• marketing tools that help structure campaigns, posts and website messaging
• prompt frameworks that help people get far better results from AI
• workflows that reduce repetitive tasks like research, planning and reporting

I also built our new website using AI tools, which completely changed how I think about what’s possible for small businesses.

The biggest thing I’ve realised is this:

AI isn’t about replacing people.

It’s about helping business owners and teams save time, make decisions faster and remove some of the pressure of running a business.

And honestly… I love building these tools.

Over the past few years we have noticed a clear shift in the founders attending the programmes I design and deliver.
More and more identify as neurodivergent.
Many have struggled with traditional training environments but thrive when support is practical, structured and focused on real business implementation.
It raises an important question for those commissioning enterprise support.

Are we designing programmes around how founders actually work, or around how we assume they should?

Today on International Women’s Day we are celebrating the incredible women we have had the privilege of meeting, supporting and working alongside this past year.

Through our programmes at SC Training & Consultancy — including Women Mean Business and Think Start Up — we have met so many inspiring women building businesses, testing ideas and creating positive change in their communities.

Many are balancing business with caring responsibilities, jobs and everyday life. Some are taking their first steps into entrepreneurship, while others are quietly building brilliant ventures that deserve to be seen and celebrated.

What always stands out is how women support each other — sharing contacts, encouraging one another, celebrating wins and lifting each other up.

We are also incredibly grateful for the women behind the scenes at SC Training — Candi Siddle, Storme Webster, Rebecca Bird and Tilly Hobbin-Cooke — whose creativity and dedication help make these programmes possible.

And thank you to the many partners, collaborators, mentors and community champions who continue to support and raise women up. Your encouragement makes a real difference.

Today we had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic networking session bringing together attendees from the Women Mean Business and Think Start Up programmes, proudly sponsored by Tower Hamlets Council and delivered by us.
Sara and I genuinely love creating spaces where connections can happen naturally. For many of the entrepreneurs in the room, particularly solo business owners and those just starting out,opportunities like this are about so much more than swapping business cards. They’re about building relationships, finding encouragement, sharing experiences, and realising you’re not on this journey alone.
The energy in the room today was incredible. Conversations flowed, collaborations sparked, and new connections were formed that we know will continue long after today. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.
It’s an honour to play a part in supporting such driven, talented business owners within our community.
A huge thank you to Langdon Park Café – Caroline, Phebe and the whole team for being such wonderful hosts and creating such a welcoming space for us all.

Today, Chancellor Rachel Reeves highlighted a reality we can’t ignore: the UK is still failing to back female entrepreneurs. With only 1.3% of equity investment this year going to female-led firms, the message is clear — women don’t lack potential, they lack opportunity. It’s time for the public sector and local authorities to step up.

I’m proud to have co-designed and delivered the Women Mean Business Programme with the brilliant leadership of Shahi Mofozil MiED and Rehan Mirza. Tower Hamlets is showing what real commitment looks like — investing in equity, not just equality.

We’re excited to share that we’ve been awarded a new contract with London Sport and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to explore what helps – and what holds back – adults aged 65+ from staying active.

As part of the project, we recently spent time at the Shoreditch Tab Centre, chatting with older adults in the community about their experiences. Their honesty and insight were incredibly valuable, giving us a real picture of what being active looks like as we age.

A special highlight was meeting Rev Georgina, who leads the Tab Centre with extraordinary dedication. The team there offers so much more than a community space — from breakfast services for homeless, elderly and vulnerable people, to a food bank and ongoing support for anyone who needs it. It was also wonderful to meet members of her team, including !

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories with us, and to the Tab Centre for welcoming us so warmly. This work will help shape future support for older adults across Tower Hamlets — making it easier to stay active, connected and well.
