It’s a real bugbear of mine…

Posting for posting sake on awareness days.

Please don’t do it, it’s a waste of your time and your followers.

Instead, as a female soloreneur think about how you can use Valentine’s Day to your advantage.

Maybe you could talk about LOVE:

What do you love about your business?
Is there a particular moment in your business journey that fills your heart with joy?
What are you passionate about and how is that reflected in the services you offer?

Do you have an idea?

So now think what format you going to use:

A Reel
Do you have a video you could use again for speed?
Do you have a series of photos that you can turn into a reel?
Can you remix someone else’s Reel that you love and promote both businesses?

Carousel
Create something in Canva as I have in this post…
Do you have 3 photos or more that you can use as a slideshow?
Do you have an old carousel that you can use again but re-edit with a new slant?

Single Image Post
Something with a face, kids or a pet in!
Or create a graphic in Canva with a strong message.

Whatever you post this Wednesday.
Make sure the image is strong enough to stop the scroll.
Make sure there’s a hook.
Make sure there’s a CALL TO ACTION

My North Star has to be my two beautiful girls.

They are the reason I live; the reason I started my business and the reason I want to be a success - so I can be a role model for them and so I can say yes to offering them life experiences.

What’s your North Star and are you talking about it as part of your personal brand?

People want to hear your story, why you do what you do and what you stand for.

Why not use this as a prompt for your next post.

I found this picture today, when we were asked to talk about our North Star at an meeting.

I didn’t use this cause it’s from 2019 and I wanted to show them now - but wow how much they’ve grown and changed in 4 years and me!!

My babies will always be my babies despite their age and will always be my North Star.

Keep shining bright my darlings - I love you loads x

What does it take to win an award?

Some might say it's in the award entry - the way it's written...

Some might say it's all about the examples you have to create a compelling case..

Some might say it's just about picking the right category and actually entering..

But maybe it's all 3, it really is a team effort. I can't write an award-winning entry if the story isn't there in the first place.

This award win to me is a clear example of why believing in your why ahead of everything else will make your business shine.

IT Naturally is all about putting people first, so winning Employer of the Year is the icing on the Christmas Cake to a very successful year.

I'm delighted to have played a small part in that as their marketing manager.

Just 3 things I’ve been up to this week (I know and it’s only Wednesday)

It was lovely to get asked to talk at the networking event today - they asked me to talk about AI after they saw my live on here recently - so there you go people - those social media lives really do work if you show up!

Yesterday, it was the Third Tuesday Club meet up (can you guess the day we meet each month? Simples!) it’s a lovely relaxed group and amongst others I chatted with Stephen and Ophelia who work in AI about LinkedIn company pages as they wanted to know how to grow theirs.
