👀 What have I been up to?
Everyone sees the finished project.
Very few people see the hundreds of little things happening behind the scenes.
This week alone I've been planning the next episode of Hot Flushes & Hot Foods, working on the Ladies First charity calendar, preparing for upcoming festivals, meetings, collaborations and a few exciting projects I can't share just yet...
Sometimes I look at my to-do list and wonder if I've accidentally given myself three full-time jobs. 😅
But here's the thing...
The magic doesn't happen when the camera starts rolling.
It happens in the planning, the ideas, the conversations and the work nobody sees.
✨ Something exciting is coming.
Can you guess what project is taking up most of my time right now?

👇 Put your guess in the comments.

After years working in marketing, production, hospitality and content creation, I've realised something:

Most businesses think they have a marketing problem.

They don't.

They have a storytelling problem.

I've seen restaurants with amazing food and empty tables.

I've seen businesses with fantastic products struggling to get noticed.

And I've seen ordinary businesses become unforgettable simply because they learned how to tell their story.

People connect with people.

People remember emotions.

People buy trust.

Before you spend more money on advertising, ask yourself:

Can people tell what makes your business different in the first 10 seconds?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

What's one thing that makes your business unique?

Found some old certificates today while clearing the loft…

✅Photography courses from years ago.
✅Food hygiene certificates from when I had my food business.
✅Hair training from when Lauren was a baby.
✅Even baby massage classes.
And it made me smile.

People often ask me why I know so many different things… and I think this is why.

I’ve never liked standing still.
If I had free time, I learned something.
If an opportunity appeared, I took it.
Not because I wanted certificates on the wall but because I’ve always been curious about life, people, creativity and growth.

Looking back now, I realise every skill somehow became part of who I am today and the businesses I’ve built through marketing, production, storytelling and communication.
Nothing we learn is ever wasted.

What’s one skill you learned years ago that still helps you today?

New environment. New people. New opportunities.
One thing I’ve learned in business and life… sometimes the best opportunities come from simply showing up 😊
Loved being back in Birmingham this week at the BUN Network after being introduced by the lovely director of
So many inspiring conversations, amazing businesses and lovely people all in one room.
I genuinely love connecting with people, hearing their stories and learning more about what they do… because you never know where one conversation can lead.

Tell me… what’s the best networking event or community you’ve ever been part of? 👀

By the way, the food was delicious -

Very honoured and grateful to be recognised as a finalist for Best Content Creator at the Small Business UK Awards.
As someone who built a career across marketing, production, storytelling and entrepreneurship — and who started again from scratch in another country — moments like this mean a lot.
What many people see today is the content. What they don’t always see are the years behind it: the risks, the reinventions, the long days, the creative vision, the resilience, and the passion for connecting people through stories.
I also know that none of this is built alone.
Thank you to everyone who watches, supports, collaborates, believes in my ideas and continues to grow alongside the journey — through BIA’S Kitchen Show, BIAS Marketing & Production, events, productions and community projects.
Grateful for every opportunity, every connection and every chapter that brought me here.
Looking forward to what comes next!

Most people only see the final image.

What they don’t see is the creative direction, lighting, storytelling, planning and production behind it.

Great content is intentional.

At BIAS Marketing, Production & PR, we help brands create content that feels professional, connected and aligned with their identity — whether that’s through full production, creative direction or helping teams improve the content they already create internally.

Because strong content isn’t just about filming.

It’s about making people feel something when they see your brand.

People often only see the final image.

What they don’t see is the full production behind it, the planning, storytelling, creative direction, logistics, problem-solving, set design, team coordination and long days bringing a vision to life.
Over the last few days, BIAS Marketing, Production & PR has been leading the production behind Ladiesfirst Professional Development Ladies First Charity Calendar 2027 at Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa supporting a beautiful project connected to over 30 charities.
From creative direction and backstage production to content creation, filming, storytelling and now post-production, calendar design and campaign development, this project has been an incredible collaborative effort.
A huge thank you to the amazing creatives and team involved, including
Tracey Mcatamney
Ladies First director Dave Perry Photography
Janus Photography and everyone working behind the scenes helping bring this vision to life.
Sometimes the backstage tells the most powerful story of all.

You’ve got 3 seconds.” ⏱️
That’s not me saying it — that’s Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram.
And he’s right.
If your hook doesn’t stop the scroll in the first 3 seconds, the rest won’t matter.
This is exactly what I spoke about recently as a speaker at a marketing strategy, social media & production event:
👉 start with the problem
👉 signal the solution
👉 give people a reason to keep watching
Watch this reel and hear it straight from the boss himself.
💬 Are your hooks working — or getting scrolled past?
📌 Save this for your next piece of content
🔁 Share with someone who creates content but struggles with attention
