Signing up as a business shouldn’t feel like reading a manual, so we built a business homepage that does the explaining for you, POSH terminology, how to post, and registration, all signposted in one place.

Events. Offers. Shouts. Three words that mean something different on POSH. We have broken down the features on the website, what counts as an Event, what makes an Offer, what’s just a Shout, plus how to create each one.

Finding a good local deal shouldn’t mean digging through five different apps and countless social media profiles.

On POSH, the moment a business posts an offer, it lands on your home screen with a push notification, like a local gym’s latest deal to join and get a month free. Claiming it takes just one tap.

Leigh-on-Sea also has more going on than any one person can keep track of, so the What’s On section pulls every event into one live feed, filterable by category, whether that’s a pool party pop DJ night or something else entirely.

POSH is a platform local businesses can build on. Every listing, from a simple shout to a full event page, like a three-course dining experience with expert nutritional insight, runs through the same real-time database, meaning a business can post once and reach the whole community instantly.

POSH needed to be on iPhone and Android from day one, without building the same app twice. So we built it in Flutter, one codebase, two app stores, running on Google’s Firebase for sign in, a live cloud database and image storage.

That same database powers everything else. A new offer, event or shout lands on your lock screen the moment it’s posted, so you can claim it in one tap and the business knows straight away. And with every local business mapped on one live directory, finding out what’s on in Leigh-on-Sea no longer means checking five different Facebook groups.

We’re looking for a curious, practical Junior Defeloper to support web and mobile app projects. You’ll bring basic HTML/CSS knowledge, a knack for troubleshooting and an eagerness to learn modern tools (including AI like ChatGPT and Claude) while testing and building real applications with our team.
