The Chandler Edit

Ever wondered what a monthly client meeting with The Chandler Edit actually looks like?

It’s been a busy week of getting out and seeing my clients face to face and I look forward to these every single month.

We catch up on the business and life in general, review the results from the previous month, talk through the priorities for the month ahead, capture all the content we need and make sure everything is moving in the right direction.

This is what working with The Chandler Edit really looks like 💕

Weekly Marketing Tip 💡 4

Posting consistently is important, but it’s only half of the job.

If you’re putting content out and then disappearing, you’re missing one of the biggest opportunities to grow on social media.

Engagement works both ways.

That means:

Replying to every comment on your posts

Responding to DMs promptly

Commenting genuinely on other people’s content

Showing up in your stories and interacting with your audience

The algorithm rewards accounts that have real conversations and more importantly, people buy from people they feel connected to.

You don’t build that connection by posting and ghosting. You build it by showing up consistently, being present and actually talking to your audience.

Think of it less like broadcasting and more like a conversation.

Weekly Marketing Tip 💡3

Do you know who you’re actually talking to?

One of the biggest mistakes I see small businesses make is creating content for everyone and ending up connecting with no one.

When you get clear on who your ideal customer is, everything changes. The way you write, the platforms you show up on, the offers you create, it all becomes so much more intentional.

Ask yourself:

Who is my ideal customer?

What do they struggle with?

What do they want more of?

Where do they spend their time online?.

You don’t need to reach everyone. You just need to reach your people.

The Chandler Edit turns one this month and I’ve realised I’ve never actually introduced myself properly. . . It’s easy to stay behind the camera when you’re busy showing up for everyone else, but as I turn one, I think it’s time to share a little more about who I am and why I do what I do.

May, you’ve been a good one. Here’s what the last few weeks have looked like behind the scenes...

✔️ 1 new client
✔️ 1 marketing strategy proposal
✔️ 6 client meetings
✔️ 148 social posts scheduled across all clients
✔️ 2 blogs & 2 newsletters
✔️ 2 networking events and won an award!
✔️ June Audit Session slots open and filling up
✔️ Survived half term with the children AND kept the business running
✔️ A fox who has officially adopted my garden as his office too 🦊
✔️ An unreasonable amount of tea

One of my favourite things about doing these round-ups is that it reminds me how much actually happens in a month.

And we’re going out on the highest of highs - this sunshine has been absolutely everything. ☀️

Onto June 🌸

It’s that time of the month again. 🐾

Please join me in congratulating May’s Employee of the Month...

Oscar.

Oscar’s contributions this month have been, as always, invaluable.

He has attended every single meeting (uninvited, but we don’t hold that against him).

He has provided emotional support during difficult emails.

And he has reminded me - at precisely 4pm every day - that it is time to stop working.

We couldn’t do it without him. Truly.

Here’s to Oscar. The Chandler Edit’s most consistent team member and least productive employee. 🥂🐱

Weekly marketing tip 💡 #2

Every time you go quiet, you have to start again.

That’s not a scare tactic - it’s just how the algorithm works.

When you post consistently, the algorithm learns who you are and who to show you to. When you disappear for a few weeks, that momentum resets. You’re not picking up where you left off. You’re rebuilding from scratch.

So many small businesses post brilliantly for a couple of weeks, then go quiet because they couldn’t keep up the standard they’d set themselves.

But here’s the thing: your audience would rather hear from you regularly than hear from you perfectly.

A simple, honest post three times a week will always outperform an elaborate campaign that only happens once in a while.

Consistency builds trust. It keeps you visible. It tells the algorithm - and your audience - that you’re here, you’re reliable and you’re worth following.

Done is better than perfect. Always.

Save this for the next time you talk yourself out of posting because it’s “not good enough.”

It’s good enough. Post it. 👊

After the most beautiful sunny bank holiday weekend, I’m starting this week feeling fresh, recharged and ready to go.

There’s something about a long weekend in the sunshine that just resets everything.

It’s also half term here which means the week looks a little different, a bit more chaos, a bit more noise and making the most of every bit of sunshine while it lasts.

Back at my desk this week (although I’m taking it outside! ☀️) Really exciting few days ahead at The Chandler Edit and a few things in the pipeline I can’t wait to share.

Here’s to a great week 🌸
