Almost a year on, I never actually shared this moment… and maybe I should have.

I was honoured to receive the StartUp for Good Award 2025 for the North East, Yorkshire & Humber region. At the time it was connected to a different business, so it never made its way onto my grid.

But recently I’ve realised something...
We’re often so focused on the next goal that we forget to acknowledge the wins that got us here.
Every win matters! The big ones, the small ones and the past ones that quietly shaped the future.
Behind every achievement is courage, persistence and a lot of unseen work.
So this moment finally gets its place here.
Not just for the award itself, but because I’m proud of the journey that led to it and everything I have created since.

If you don’t grab attention…you don’t get opportunity.

Being around Phil Harris, someone who knows how to command a room instantly, reminded me of something every founder needs to hear:

If you can’t stop the scroll, you can’t grow.

The problem? Too many entrepreneurs are playing safe by blending in, and blending in online = being invisible.
You can have the best offer, the smartest strategy and the biggest heart but if no one pauses… none of it matters.

Visibility isn’t about being louder. It’s about being clearer, bolder and most of all, unapologetic.
