When my Very Friendly & Patient Logo Designer and I started discussing colours for my logo, she made me do an exercise about what I wanted to bring across in my choice of colours. So I came up with a few options, which it then turned out had colours associated with them that looked a bit, well, boring to me, really. Then my Very Friendly & Patient Social Media Manager saw that selection and said, ‘this is not how I think of you, these are the colours I see for you’ and showed me a couple of very colourful webpages.
For those who know me: I was, of course, immediately sold and chose completely different, nice bright bold colours (this is where the patience of my logo designer came in 🙏). I wanted my potential clients to see excitement, brightness, different, fun. For various design reasons – for which I fully trusted my Very Friendly & Patient Logo Designer– the colours you see are not as bright as I wanted them, but I do like them.
There are no particular reasons for the choice of colours, they are simply colours I really like.
And what do they mean, after all?
Yellow is the color of the sunshine itself. It represents clarity of thought, wisdom, orderliness and energy.
Magenta contains the passion, power and energy of red, restrained by the introspection and quiet energy of violet. It promotes compassion, kindness and cooperation. It’s a colour of cheerfulness, happiness, contentment and appreciation.
Blue: the sky and the wide oceans are in this color and hence it has been associated with Spirituality and Divinity. Blue is calming. Blue has positive effects on both the mind and the body and helps with balance and self-expression.
Well, not such bad colour choices after all!
