“We should do memes!”🤪

Said every Gen Z social media manager ever.

Fun fact. I once created an entire presentation to persuade a client to try memes. ⬇️

It convinced them, but I needed hard evidence to support my suggestion.

So, I ran an AB test using Meta ads manager to show how meme content performed in comparison to our usual BAU content.

Memes didn’t just win. They wiped the floor by driving more traffic to the website and delivering higher results. 🏆

Moral of the story?

Don’t make the error of underestimating the power of memes. But, make sure to consider these things first:
👉Who is your audience? Will they relate to the topic and the notions of the content? What evidence do you have that this particular audience engage with memes?
👉What is your desired outcome? To nurture your existing audience or entice new customers? Memes are versatile and can be adapted to achieve multiple goals with the right content and strategy.
👉Is your content timely or have you missed the moment?

Why ✨CREATIVITY✨ is TikTok's key ingredient...

If you don't yet follow Ryan air on TikTok, simply what are you doing with your life? But also, they're the perfect example of why creativity and humour is an absolutely genius move for their brand on the platform✈️

By being creative, taking risks & doing something different, they have been able to grow a huge following in what feels like 5 minutes. Being unconventional and not sticking to strict guidelines of the content they share, they are able to produce large volumes of highly entertaining content in a short time frame which has perfectly aligned with TikToks algorithm.💅🏼
