Wanna know what I love the most about good copy?

Feeling empowered by words, the excitement towards the impact your offer can have on my life and the need to invest with confidence. 💪

Tapping into your ideal client’s emotions doesn't always mean widening the gap between where they are and what you can give them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sometimes it's simply taking where they are right now, and showing them how you can close the gap that's already there no matter how big.

The key is to know what your ideal client needs, what they're struggling with and what they want to create a positive emotional reaction. 💥

Consider how you want them to feel.

👉 Do you want them to feel empowered to take affirmative action and invest with confidence?

👉 Excited to work with you and make the necessary changes to have the life they want?

👉 Do you want them to feel confident in their investment because it came from a place of want as opposed to desperation?

People are more likely to take action when it feels good, when they feel good, so focus on the transformation. 💫

Ever wondered how you can create web copy that’s packed with personality while easily digestible and relatable? 🤔

✨ To add personality you need to know your brand voice. Visualise your brand as a person. Think about who they are, what they like/dislike, what their values are, how would they speak? Bring your brand to life, pair that with your kick a** personality and voila.

TOP TIP: Market Research is a great way to figure out your brand voice. So use brands that you love to inspire your own voice by figuring out what you want and don’t want.

✨ When it comes to readability, short, sweet and punchy hits the spot. Be clear with your words and make sure it flows by avoiding too many unnecessary words. You have about 8 seconds to capture your audience attention. You don’t want your message to get lost in the noise.

✨ Speaking in second person allows your readers to relate easily to the story you’re telling. You want them to visualise themselves with the outcome you can give while feeling included and a part of your community at the same time.

If writing isn’t you’re strong point, remember you don’t have to get it right first time. Rome wasn’t built in a day and everything takes practice. The more you write, the better you’ll get. 💫

🚨Creating a Killer Content Strategy Part 3!

Today we’re diving into Defining Your Content Pillars for social media!

So what are content pillars?

👉 Essentially, they are the foundations of your content. Your core themes and topics used to connect with your ideal audience.

🤩 The best way to map out your pillars is to start by defining the purpose of your content and building your themes from there.

✅ Creating content pillars gives you the space to focus on creating high quality content specifically for your audience, keeping it relevant, organised and making the creative process that much easier.

Remember, your pillars need to:

• Align with your brand & values
• Align with your audience needs
• Align with your ultimate goals

Once you have them in place, then you can begin to build your calendar (keep an eye out for part 4! 😉) and you will be well on your way to creating content that gets results.

Bonus tip: Create a pillar for each day of the week you plan to post whether it’s 3 or 5, so you have a strong variety of topics to cover.

There’s a reason your content doesn’t connect! 😱

One of the key ingredients when it comes to writing copy that connects is, first and foremost, knowing who you’re talking to, and I mean really knowing them. So much it’s almost as if you made them up yourself 😉

Let’s talk creating your Buyer Persona.

When you decide who to target, it’s usually pretty simple depending on what you do, it could be women in their 50’s or Men who like golf for example.

But let’s take Women in their 50’s and break it down.

👉 Does she have a name?
👉 Where does she live?
👉 Does she have any likes and dislikes?
👉 What are her values or her personality?
👉 What does she do for work?
👉 How much does she earn?
👉 What social platforms does she use?
👉 Why would she need your products/services?

You get the idea! All of these and anything else you can add to your buyer persona are the exact things that can help you write copy that connects with your audience.

The key is to make your audience feel seen, feel heard and resonate with you on a deeper level, as if you knew them already. 💕

And the best part is, this applies to all marketing platforms, not just social media! 🙌

I challenge you to create your buyer person, and then write them a hypothetical email! Let me know how you get on!

Are you using the right social platforms to build a community?

The most sustainable way to market your business is through community. You want to surround yourself with clients and customers who are passionate advocates for your brand. ♥️

A community who supports you, shouts about you to their peers and just keep coming back for more. 📢

So which social platforms are the best?

The truth is, all social platforms are incredible for building communities, so go where your audience will be, new, present and past.

If you’re not sure which, here are my personal top five community social platforms.

👉 Instagram (of course!)
👉 Facebook
👉 Pinterest
👉 Linked In

Marketing isn’t just selling anymore. Selling is great, but to really keep your clients coming back for more, you need to create an authentic community that feels seen and heard by you, and community that supports them as much as they support you and by doing so, your ROI will be better than ever. 🤩

Happy Thoughtful Friday Lovelies!! 💕

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about the thing that still holds me back the most on social media.

It’s funny because even though it’s my job to help people show up and give them confidence in their social media presence…and I’m good at it…I still struggle with my own confidence when it comes to showing up on video. 😱

Here I am hiding behind a screen while preaching show your face. 😅

It’s obviously important and builds trust, but it’s still something I find difficult.

Maybe it’s because I’m an introvert, maybe it’s because sometimes I do worry what other people think. I’m not sure but I know it’s something I need to work on in my own business. ✅

The reason I’m sharing this is to show you that even we social media specialists have their own fears and struggles when it comes to showing up for ourselves no matter how good we are at showing up for our clients, but we also know the importance of overcoming these for our business as it is for you to overcome them too. 🤩

I want to know what you struggle with the most when it comes to social media? Is it the same as me? Or is it something else? Let me know! ⬇️

Did you know the difference between content writing and copywriting?? 🤯

It’s so common to think the two terms are interchangeable but they’re actually two different things that require different skills. ✅

👉 Content writing is used to educate, entertain and engage your audience to increase awareness and show your authority within your industry.

👉 Copywriting is used to evoke emotions and a need to take action such as make an investment, download a freebie, anything that requires direct action.

👉 Both have the potential to drive sales, but copywriting is specifically used to encourage your audience to buy where as content writing is used as a part of your consumer journey to nurture your audience before they buy.

It’s not a huge difference, but one that can have a large impact on the results of your marketing campaign which is exactly why you should be using both!

We’re back and better late than never with Part Two of Creating a Killer Content Strategy! 💥

Today we’re talking about getting to know your audience and why it’s the backbone of your entire strategy!

Let’s go….

▶️ Define who your target audience is by creating an ideal customer/client profile.

▶️ Find out where they’re hiding by using your profile to search through platforms, hashtags & keywords.

▶️ Create real connections with them and ask your audience what they need from you.

▶️ Use social listening to find out how they think, how they feel, what they want and how you can give it to them.
