f the ex-USSR and I am very glad to meet you. MY STORY LOOKING FOR HAPPINESS
I was born in the eighties into a caring family of a loving mother and a providing father. I grew up a happy child with a tendency to worry too much though. I was taught to be responsible, to care about others, and to be honest. I was also told that my professional success equalled my happiness and the path to that was laid through good education, a good corporate job, two free days a week for leisure and a few weeks a year for dream holidays someplace exotic. I followed this formula through my twenties to late thirties but was also distracted with a desire to have fun, see the world, meet people, be young, be free, be actually happy but I never let that desire to overtake me. I got my education while exploring a bit of Europe and eventually came to the UK to have a bit of fun, find my dream job, and set for a fight up the ladder to retirement. I have been doing quite well career-wise but without much zest though. I have progressed to a mid-manager level in finance with a reputable corporate company, having changed a few jobs on the way. I find some aspects of my job enjoyable. I find the stability of a paycheque comforting. I know my stuff and I am respected for that. I am grateful for all of this and the comforts I get in exchange for my paycheque. CHANGING MY MINDSET
I have never felt passionate though about any of my corporate jobs. I have never been driven by enthusiasm to excel at work but the responsibility, the desire to deliver good results, be appreciated, and the need to earn my living. I have never been aligned with the fact that I have to trade my precious freedom and time to earn all of my comforts. The formula for true happiness I was taught has not turned out to be my formula and for a while, this has been bugging me, big time. The only way to be is to live your life in joy and this was missing from mine. Two years ago, I had to go through surgery which left worrisome and discomforting pain in my body. That made me worry a lot about the future, about the inability to work and earn a living. The emotional stress was heavy, and I did not have enough faith and trust that all would be alright to comfort myself. I started searching for such assurances externally – psychics, spiritual teachings, reading about the power of our beliefs and thoughts, the law of attraction, laws of the Universe, our ego vs our Higher Self. Gradually I started empowering myself with the realization that I can steer my life exactly in the direction I want it to go, we all have that power, for better or worse. If it’s the former or the latter is all down to us and how we think, what we believe in, our emotions and actions but most importantly it’s all under our control! MY JOURNEY AS A DIGITAL ENTREPRENEUR
To be honest with you, it is still very young. I was aware of digital business possibilities but had never had the idea of looking further into it until late 2019. I had the security and stability of my corporate job and that did not incentivize me to pay attention to my unfulfillment and unhappiness and look for a change. I continued to dwell in the absence of passion and joy from my life, willing to accept the need to sacrifice my freedom for the corporate rules set out for me. This is how it was until I first realized the true vastness of opportunities in the digital world. I praise my already changing mindset and positivism through self-work and spiritual exploration of my own deeper Self for attracting this opportunity and realization into my life. It happened by chance – a YouTube ad that I felt an impulse to watch till the end and it all resonated. I gave it a chance, signed up with digital skills training, and made my first humble but determined steps towards becoming a digital entrepreneur. The more I went into the training material, the more joyful and enthusiastic I felt. I felt excitement learning of the opportunities of the digital world. Ideas flowed to me of ways how to earn my income from my very own digital business enterprise. I was learning skills to be a digital entrepreneur and do that on my own terms, with no comprise of my freedom and the need to trade my time for money. I felt empowered and exhilarated. I knew this was my opportunity to express myself creatively, be valuable for others and earn good money as well. I felt already invigorated with the passion from these realizations only. There is always somebody else who is on the same journey as we are, just a few steps behind, and looking for guidance. This is why as my main objective for this page I chose to share what I learn and discover on my journey of spiritual exploration and success as a digital entrepreneur. Should it be ideas or insight that served me or materials, products, services that I used and benefitted from or believe in the value of – all of these I have an intention to share with you. EPILOGUE
