I recently went to Greece and, naturally, came back with my camera roll full of branding references and design details ✨

Once you work in branding and design, inspiration starts showing up everywhere. Packaging, signage, menus, typography, colour palettes, little details on buildings…

Safe to say Greece gave me a lot of inspo this time around 💭 Fellow graphic designers, do you do the same thing?

I am so grateful to have been able to witness the behind-the-scenes of building 🎾

Back in 2024, I sat down with the founder (who is also one of my closest friends) to discuss her business plans and see how Klioh can support.

Fast forward to 2026… House of Racquet has opened in London (N7) and been hugely successful ✨

It’s surreal to see all our work on their visual identity and website over the past year and a half come to fruition IRL at such an amazing venue.

There is something so special about watching women build things from the ground up, especially when you’ve seen the early conversations, the uncertainty, the decisions, the hard work and all the tiny details that go into making something real.

This is also a reminder on how powerful it is when female founders support each other. Not just by cheering from the sidelines, but by using our skills, businesses and networks to help each other bring bigger visions to life 💙

Seeing House of Racquet open its doors has been such a proud moment, both as a friend and as the studio behind the brand.

Here’s to more women building ambitious things, backing each other and taking up space in industries that are ready for something new 🥂

If you freelance or run a studio, you’ll probably know that feeling 💃

Here are some of the qualities of clients that we always celebrate when we land them…

✨ they value the process
✨ they trust the decisions being made
✨ they’re interested in building something long-term
✨ they’re open to being guided, not just looking for ex*****on
✨ they care about the details, not just the final outcome

With time, I’ve realised those clients don’t just appear by chance. They tend to come through once you’re clear on how you position yourself, how you communicate your work, and the standard you hold behind it.

The more defined that becomes, the more natural it is to attract people who are looking for the same level of thought and intention.

At the beginning of every business, there’s a gap between your effort and your results ⬇️

I felt that very clearly when I first started Klioh. I was showing up consistently, putting work out, trying different approaches, and for a while, it felt like nothing was really working.

It’s easy to take that as a sign that something isn’t right. But looking back, it was just the early stage of building something from scratch ✨

Discipline, in this beginning phase, is all about continuing to show up while improving things incrementally. Adjusting how you present your work, refining your message, and giving it enough time to compound.

Most of the progress happens before it’s visible, and most people stop in that gap… so let this be your sign to keep going, no matter what you’re seeing on the outside 💙
