As much as you would like to start scaling up your advertising campaign quickly, don't rush! One or two days is not enough time to make that decision. You need to get the first conversions, optimise the campaign, and only then evaluate its success.
It's good that advertising is an area where success is measured in numbers. Let's look at what parameters to rely on to make the right decision.
Which is more important: CTR, CR or ROI?
Here are typical situations you may encounter after launching a campaign:
1) High CTR, but no conversions
This state of affairs indicates that users like the creative, but something is preventing conversions from being completed. You might have the wrong URL for the landing page. This happens even with experienced affiliates.
If you manage to find and solve the problem, the campaign is worth pursuing further, but there is no scaling up yet.
2) Campaign shows positive ROI for several days
ROI is the main parameter for deciding whether to scale. See positive ROI for a few days - expand. It's a good time to scale your campaign. But even here you should not let your guard down: The situation might change at any moment. Keep a close eye on the statistics.
3) ROI is roughly equal to the cost of traffic acquisition but does not yet exceed it
You are approaching the exit of the campaign to the upside. Getting excited and scaling up at this stage is risky. It is better to observe the statistics for another 1-2 days. If the ROI does not increase, it is not worth scaling. There is a very high risk of going into negative equity.
But if you do, watch the statistics closely. As soon as the spread starts to diverge further from income, stop the campaign.
Scaling up an advertising campaign is just as risky as launching it. Any wrong action can ruin everything. But you wouldn't be doing affiliate marketing if you weren't prepared for either outcome. Preferably a good one, of course.
As you begin to expand your advertising campaign, don't forget three things: keep an eye on your daily budget, try out strategies one by one, and analyze the results after each change.
