NEW FORBES BUSINESS COUNCIL PIECE “The Future Of Electronic Music Events Starts On The Dancefloor”

Over the past decade, electronic music has scaled globally into a multi-billion dollar industry. But while festivals continue to grow, the grassroots spaces that built the culture; clubs, collectives and local scenes are disappearing.

This piece explores:
• why experience now matters more than lineup
• how community is built in small rooms before main stages
• why the underground is infrastructure, not competition
• and why the future of electronic music will belong to brands building ecosystems, not just events

Because attention is easy to buy. Culture isn’t.

Amazing to have worked on the PR for Phonox’s Circulate a new summer event series that connects three South London venues, Phonox, M.O.T., and Jumbi. This concept brings back the culture multi-venue attendance, something that’s been lost in recent years.

With over 40 features, including in Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, Time Out London and more, this one is not one to miss!

Is the era of obscene DJ fees killing the independent music scene?

Over the last decade, DJ fees have skyrocketed, making it harder than ever for independent venues and promoters to survive.

What can we do?
We need to invest in local talent, build stronger community nights, and agents must play a role in adjusting fees for smaller events. Protecting these independent spaces benefits everyone in the industry.
