The ups and downs of the London marathon. 🏅

I am just so happy I made it to the finish line considering how much pain I was in the last 10km of the run. I don’t think I could do it without the support from the crowd though. You were all incredible.

What a day! Truly electric. An experience I will never forget.

After 30km I got injured. The dr told me I should not continue but that was not an option. Through agonising pain I managed to make it to the finish line, only just. I am proud that I did not give up.🏅

🩸Running the Rome Marathon on my period🩸

You can train for a marathon but you can’t train for running the marathon on your period. I was hoping it would arrive after the marathon but it actually started today. 😬

You might have experienced it during your training but unless it happened to you at your previous marathon you don’t know what it will be like. I have only attended virtual events so I am not sure what to expect.

No one mentions in the event updates if menstrual products will be available along the route. From all participants maybe one of us will have the period on the day. What will happen then?

Have you ever run a marathon on your period? How did you deal with it? What products worked for you? Let us know in the comments.
