I am so hugely sad to hear of the passing of who I worked closely with when his play The End of Longing was in the West End. We spent a lot of time together promoting the show and I saw another side to him than his public persona. His face when sitting next to on was one of the funniest moments ever. He was oddly innocent in the way he approached things and very much still taking one day at a time in his recovery. I saw the pressure he felt to be ‘Chandler’ with whoever we met. I hope he finds his peace now surrounded up there by his Batman memorabilia, his red bulls and endless burgers! RIP Matty x

Spanning several decades, The White Factory written by acclaimed author and directed by the excellent Maxim Didenko, explores the life of Yosef Kaufman, a Holocaust survivor from Lodz, haunted by his wartime experiences as he tries to build a future with his new family in 1960’s Brooklyn. Tormented by the nightmares of his past, Yosef’s attempt to negotiate the weight of his own history becomes a passionate battle for survival and redemption.

Running until 4 November at Marylebone Theatre.
