Where does our creativity come from?

With now open in Stratford, it felt like the perfect time to meet some of the people helping shape East London’s creative story.

Today, we’re meeting Ruqaiyyah, a henna artist whose work is inspired by the people, places and experiences around her.

Spending the day exploring Walthamstow through her eyes was a reminder that creativity can often be found in the everyday. From the colours and textures of the market to the conversations, cultures and communities that surround us, inspiration is all around if we’re willing to look a little closer.
