The future of e-commerce is conversational!
Last week at their F8 conference Facebook announced that Instagramâs new Messenger API will be rolling out to all businesses, following its beta testing with brands such as H&M and LâOreal.
So what is it?
APIÂ is the acronym for Application Programming Interface, which is a software intermediary that essentially allows two applications to talk to each other.Â
With the IG Messenger API youâll be able to integrate Instagramâs messaging tools with your own existing systems.
The expected rollout for businesses is as follows:
: Phase 1 (now) Instagram accounts with more than 10K followers and less than 100K followers
: Phase 2 (July 2021): Instagram accounts with between 1K and 100K
:Phase 3 (end of Q3): All remaining accounts
