Some news from us: We've loved being part of the Soho scene in Old Compton Street since 1999 but, to everything there is a season, and our season has drawn to a close. A1 VOX has made its last recording and hit Save & Close for the final time. The pandemic hasn't helped, of course, and the absence of any relief from Business Rates during lockdown certainly hammered nails into the coffin. We'd like to thank everyone who's worked with us over the last 22 years. It's been a lot of fun. From A1 VOX, sadly, it's thank you and goodnight.

Because of the Coronavirus lockdown in London, we're unlikely to be able to answer phone calls for the time being, but we'll do our best to help with any audio, editing or voicing needs, if you drop us an email or a message here. Very sad to read of the death of Monty Python star Terry Jones. He was a charming delight when he came in a few years ago, to record with us. Here he is with Studio Manager Chris, on that happy day.

Congratulations to Sir Patrick Stewart for being inducted into the Hollywood Walk Of Fame!
We didn't have any cement for him to stick his hands into when he came to record here, but he did get his hands on an A1 Vox mug of tea!

Congratulations to Simon Armitage on being the UK's new Poet Laureate!
Simon was one of 125 great poets we had the pleasure of recording a few years ago for a charity project “Poets For Oxfam”. Some we recorded at our studios in Soho, for others we built a temporary studio at the Museum of Childhood in London.

A1 VOX is 20 years old next month, and we remember today a tragic event that occurred on this day 1999, just as we were setting up, when a hate-filled maniac bombed the Admiral Duncan, one of our neighbouring pubs. Today, Soho remembers and says No to hate and bigotry.
